Panic attacks and blood pressure

Having general anxiety disorder has me getting as many things as possible to relieve any sort of anxiety I have towards my health. One thing I recently got was a blood pressure monitor. When I'm feeling "normal", my blood pressure goes from normal to slightly high (120/80 to about 135/90 is my normal levels), but this past saturday I had the worst panic attack I've had in months, and since I had my blood pressure monitor handy I went ahead and checked it....my blood pressure was 185/140. For about 5 days, my blood pressure was remaining about 150/90, and only yesterday did I hear those sweet words from my brookstone blood pressure monitor "your blood pressure is normal". Has anyone else checked theirs before? Have you had it worse than I did?

Withdrawal, meds that work for you

I have GAD and have been taking pristiq for about 2 months and took effexor XR (75 mg) before that for about a year (maybe more or less, but i don't remember). The effexor helped a lot, but i was still worrying about the most ridiculous things and wasn't really enjoying the lovely side effects (constant fatigue, killed what little sexual interest i had). I tried out pristiq at 50 mg, which was really just the same as the effexor, but i wasn't as tired. I tried the 100 mg of pristiq after that, hoping it would help with the anxiety, but to no avail. I want to get new medicine soon (as soon as my ADD-ridden mother makes an appointment), but i'm not sure what to ask the doctor about and i'm scared of the withdrawals. I get the electric-pulse feeling (i've heard it called a "brain zap") and a horrid headache when i forget to take my medicine for a day. Any suggestions for meds i should try? What was your experience like with withdrawals? HAAALLLPPP

GAD and first job

I just finished my first day of work at my first job ever at a store in the local mall and it was horrific. I have generalized anxiety disorder and got positioned as the greeter. Of course, the horrors didn't end there. I had to approach every single customer that entered the store and try to get them to sign up for this godforsaken discount card bullshit thing we have. Does anyone else on here have GAD and a job that requires interaction with people? Also, do you have any tips on how i can calm the fuck down and just do my job like a normal person?

Officemate fucking with me

Hi I'm going crazy my officemate (forties, ten + yrs older than me) reacts to every little thing I do. Like if I'm reading something on the computer and then I click my mouse as soon as I do that he lurches forward in his creaky chair, making a really loud screaching noise. He denies that he's doing this, and even tries to make me look bad by feigning friendliness in front of other coworkers after riling me up. It's fucking aggravating and my frustration spills out into the rest of my yada yada. Has anyone ever experienced something like this before? It's clear to me that this guy is extremely fucked up, but I've never really met anyone quite this low. It's just the constant day in, day out thing he has with me (started over a girl MY age in the office liking me). Does this sound to you like a pathological person, or just an extremely pathetic, insecure one?
