sensitivity w/o headache and passing out during headache

Today I woke up with severe light sensativity. I came out from under the covers and the sun light was blinding and hurt my eyes severely. After being under one blanket for 20mins to let some light shine through but not as harsh as w/o covers I was able to peek out. After a while I became used to the sunlight. The lights didnt start to bother me until night. I drove to a support group and I shouldnt have drove. The headlights of the cars were so blinding that I couldnt even see the back lights of the car in front of me. While in the meeting the lights were so harsh that I could not see peoples faces because of spots and glare. I am here now writing this and my eyes are still killing me.

What could have been the cause but not so sure was that yesturday I had a serious headache. I was to the point where it made me physically ill. And since I felt sick I decided to lay down around 10pm. I then all of a sudden passed out. No thinking, no restlessness until 4am (like usual), just knocked out.

Is this another migraine? Is is common to pass out like that? And after it is is common to have eye sensitivity all day long the day after w/o a headache?

headache on only one side of head

What does it mean when you have a headache on only one side of your head? Its like, if I watch too much tv it will happen. I have been watching a lot of tv today and all of a sudden the left side of my head hurt. In included my left eye socket and upper left neck. It didnt last long. Maybe 15 minutes? It killed my left eye and I saw spots... if that makes a difference.

Migraine Since 10/29

I have had an ongoing migraine since 10/29. It sucked ass really bad. I took two fioricet for it three times a day. It would take the edge off of the pain for about 1 1/2 hours, then the pain would return and I would be in misery until I could take the next fioricet.

After I emptied my entire prescription bottle (and couldn't get it filled for 6 more days), I decided to go to the ER. They were slow but efficient. They gave me dilaudid because I said morphine gives me a morning after headache. They kept me for freaking two hours after the shot waiting on lithium levels that never came. By the time I got home, I started feeling nauseous. Then I got sick. Then my headache exploded. I literally thought I was going to die. So I took my last two fioricet I was hoarding for an emergency and prayed. I finally passed out and woke up at 6 this morning feeling shaky but ok.

I switched to generic topamax last month. I was fine until the generic. Then I started getting little headaches. I've never had a problem with any generic before, but I guess I can't take generic topamax. It just stinks because generic topamax is so cheap while brand is expensive for me.

But has anyone else had a reaction to pain medication like that before? Morphine I'm fine on, but always have a horrible headache the day after. It makes me feel so awful because I feel like I have no options when the pain gets really bad.

While some of it is "duh" for people who've had headaches for a long time, it's still full of interesting information.
