Banana/Mango Allergy

Just wondering if anyone else has a banana and/or mango allergy. I'm allergic to both, although I became allergic to bananas when I was 14 and only realized i was allergic to mangoes a few years ago. I only know one other person who has this allergy, and for her it's just banana. I used to get something like hay fever symptoms from exposure, but now even smelling banana makes my throat go numb.

how about you?

Eczema

I have eczema - I used to have patches all over the place, but nowadays, I only get one. I get this one patch on my left hand on my little and ring fingers and it just WILL NOT go away.

I apply my hydrocortisone pretty frequently and it it will not budge. It hurts and it itches, and it throws these little blisters that ooze stuff and it's uncomfortable as hell. I'm pretty sure it's dyshidrotic eczema, because that's the only one that blisters, and it's apparently stress-based. Figured.

Any ideas/tips/thoughts/lifestyle changes, since cortisone doesn't seem to be cutting it?

Immunizations and Allergies

I lost immunity to ALL my childhood shots. And I gained an allergy to eggs. Is there any way to get the vaccinations? I can't get the flu shot because I almost ended up in the hosptial the one time I tried it. They almost had to admit me because they couldn't get my asthma attack to stop and I kept having asthma attacks over and over... they finally prescribed nebs and I just had to take them every four hours for like 2 weeks. It was horrid. I don't want to do that again. I didn't get sleep. I would wake up gasping for air. No way. Are there ANY vaccinations without eggs? Injections with eggs are bad news for me.

milk and gastrointestinal stuff

I started having intermittent gastrointestinal problems earlier this year - abdominal cramping and also discomfort where my stomach connects to my intestines and where my gallbladder is. Also a thing where my face feels...lax? Like I feel with a histamine reaction.

I think it's caused by milk. My worst cramps stopped after I substituted soy milk for milk with breakfast, and I have them again when I have nutritional drinks. Boost Plus is particularly bad and has no lactose, just milk protein. It happens anywhere from a few minutes to a couple hours.

I'm going to see a GP after I move in December and I would like to just avoid dairy until then (including reading ingredient labels for non-obvious dairy). A lot of websites say to only do this under a doctor's supervision. Is there something obvious I'm missing that could screw me up within a month or so? I'm taking a multivitamin that has vitamin D and calcium, in addition to soymilk.

Cat litter

I need to find a good clumping UNSCENTED cat litter. My god, the brand I have bought for ages has added so much damn perfume that it's tearing me up. It's even making the poor cats sneeze. Then that dust gets on them and they get on me and dammit...my Allegra isn't even controlling the nasal symptoms.

Why must they add so much damn fragrance to everything? I gotta buy free and clear laundry products and pay extra. Now how much sense does it make to have to pay more for something where they leave something out? It should cost more to buy the shit with the scent.

So, I'm trialing some store brand unscented, I only hope that it clumps well.

Anyone have a favorite brand of unscented that they use. I'm desperate here. Accchhhoooo!
