Hello to everyone,

Hope all is well with this 'family', and for the members who are having a hard time (who isn't), I send you good thoughts.

I have a silly question.

It seems to me, that when I read others posts about self-injury, my tummy gets all tight and it's almost like I can't handle the amount of physical pain SI may be causing other posters. But when it comes to me, not only can I think about it, but often 'indulge' on the impulse without so much as a squirmy second thought.

Is it just me, or does this happen to other SI'ers?

I can only speak for myself, obviously. Reading about other people cutting themselves is fine, but when it comes to burns, I get just as squeamish. I hate, hate, HATE burning myself by accident, so it mystifies me as to how someone can purposely inflict that upon themself.

But each to their own. We all do what helps *us*. And no matter what our own preferred method of SI is, we all understand each other.

At least, that's the feeling *I* get on here.
