:( I'm so confused.  Went to pdoc today and because I've been sleeping 16-18 hours a day for the last few weeks, she added Cymbalta to my meds.  So here is my list now:

Wellbutrin XL 300 mg
Cymbalta 30 mg (to be upped to 60 after 1 wk if no problems)
Luvox 150 mg
Topamax 75 mg
Ativan .50 mg twice/day

She said this is a safe combo, but of course I went to all the drug interaction checkers and they don't think so.  The Wellbutrin & Cymbalta I'm supposed to take in the morning and the Topamax and Luvox at bedtime.  She said the Cymbalta should give me more energy.  The Wellbutrin did that for about a week and then stopped.

So I guess I'm asking what do you think of this combo?  I'd appreciate any responses.  I'm a little nervous about taking that first Cymbalta tomorrow morning.  Serontin syndrome?  I'm just so paranoid....maybe I'll call her again tomorrow.  I'm freaked out!!!

Meds are for ongoing depression, anxiety and OCD.  Thanks again!  I love this board...it's very informative.

Something tells me she didn't take

Coadministration with fluvoxamine may significantly increase the plasma concentrations of duloxetine.
into account when she started you on 30 mg.

And raising you to 60 mg with the fluvoxamine and the Wellbutrin sounds insane, seeing as both may increase the plasma concentration of Cymbalta.

Does ANYBODY get increased energy from Cymbalta?  It seems like all of us are complaining of zombie-like lethargy after the initial "bump" from the Cymbalta.  And most people seem to be taking Wellbutrin or Provigil to counteract that side effect.

Is there anyone who's had a different experience with Cymbalta?
Cymbalta 60mg
Ritalin 10mg 2x day

Seems like she's treating side effects with more medication, thereby bringing on more side effects that she would treat with more medication. Luvox and Cymbalta do both affect serotonin, but I would imagine Cymbalta to be more energizing. Perhaps the Luvox is redundant. The less medication you're on, the less to medications to worry about! I wish you well!
