the experiment was succesful! by switching the lexi to bedtime, i'm much less sleepy in the morning, which is a big help. now i'm taking everything at night except my vitamins and lyrica, which i take tid.

Good luck & I hope you have more success on the Lexapro than I have.

Bean - that's great news!! I had a med change too...got rid of the Depakote - that stuff was poison for me...we may actually drop the amount of Lexi, so I'll keep you posted...but for now, everything at bed and feeling much better...and able to get sleep (but pdoc gave me some Lunesta, just in case).
dx: BP2, BPD, ADHD, OCD and there's probably more...but we're just ignoring it all until the BP2 is under control (as if I need more things to obsess about...LOL).
Rx: 10mg of Lexapro, 50mg of Topamax, 150mg of Lamictal and holding strong while pdoc sniggers.

dg, glad to hear it. why decreasing the lexi? (are you too happy? sorry, couldn't resist.) glad things are working out for you now.

:devlish: Heh heh heh, why yes, thank you for asking! We're gonna wait and see, but it seems that I tend to be on the manic side of BP rather than the depressed side...and even when, on the rare occassion that I'm depressed, my ego is too well defined to be self harming, so I just get hella pissed...we're thinking that there's really no need for Lexi in there...seems to just be adding drugs more than anything else and I'm at a low dose (10mg). It's just another, in a long line, of experimentation with my head :P .

Good luck getting off of the Lexapro,as for me tonight should be the last night I have to take it & then we'll see how well the Paxil alone is working.

Thanks bean,I've still been finding myself really tired these days & just wanting to sleep but once the Lexapro is fully outta my system hopefully that will begin to change.

I just started lexi 5 days ago..its been making me a complete veg! I hate it. But my heart isnt racing all the time. ALTHOUGH i still feel anxious, like i dont want to socialize or be around many people? Does that mean it hasnt kicked in completly?

I switched to nights as of today also, going to see how this works out for me :)

I would give it at least another week.
Average time most people get stable on Lexapro is a week to 10 days. Generally, after a month is when you will know for sure if it's the right med or not.

I take it when I wake up (as I do with most of my meds). If my morning's suck, the whole day will be ruined. I've lived, I'm ....learning!
Alright. Here you go--

DX/Issues-most current: BP(mixed + ultra rapid cycling), OCD, ADD,anorexia nervosa (recovering again...), BDD, some sort of avoidant shit, really bad & constant paranoia about everything, domestic abuse survivor...

Drugs: Wellbutrin 450, Celexa 20, Abilify 30 , Klonopin 2-4 (max 6mg/day), Adderall 20, Restoril 30 PRN (haven't had to take for 2months). Note: About to throw tegretol in the mix after blood tests. eek

Past R/X's: Lithium (tried twice), Lamictal (complete hell), Depakote, Abilify (trying now for the 2nd time), Luvox (tried twice), Prozac, Paxil, Effexor, Geodon, Ativan (ok, but too expensive), Wellbutrin (didn't work first time around but is now working well)
