Hi All, can you offer feedback/suggestions on my current drug cocktail?
* 20mg Lexapro (was on 10mg for months due to depression, recently upped to 20mg once daily)
* 15mg Remeron (taken PRN for sleep/insomnia)
* 0.5mg Klonopin (twice daily for one week, then once daily for 1 week)
My doc presecribed the Klonopin to help me deal with stress and anxiety. I'm going through a rough time in my life now:
* My parents, in their mid-60's, are getting divorced
* We are having family and work issues
* I 'made out' with an old friend at a party, and told my wife. We have had marital issues in the past.
All this is too much for me. I need some relief from the anxiety so I can do my daily work. Is this a good cocktail? Should I be on Valium instead of Klonopin? My pdoc only gave me 2 weeks worth, he said that should 'get me through' my rough patch........
We'll see!

Benzos are a miracle drug that have helped many people. Just take them as prescribed and be aware that for some folks, they are highly addictive. And very difficult to come off of (which might be why your pdoc has you tapering down, even though you are only on it for a couple of weeks).
