Posted link to all reports elsewhere but thought the individual ones might be interesting for the relevant boards.

They want to do an entire model of personality that would apply to non-disordered personality as well. That sounds very ambitious and I would be surprised if the DSM-V had something like that. (I mean, it's an entire subfield of research psych...) I was going to mention some specific highlights but my overall impression is that they really, really like developing highly complicated classification systems. Like, way beyond what seems to have clinical utility. And they haven't completed any lit reviews yet. I was looking forward to reading this one because it seems like there's a lot of potential for useful changes but their scope seems broad.

Edit: I wanted to add that the Childhood and Adolescent Disorder workgroup is considering adding stuff on "Non-Suicidal Self-Injury".

I've seen this. It looks complicated. Totally overhauling Axis 2 like that is just going to be confusing. Besides, for me, my current diagnonsense is pretty accurate as it stands, stigma aside. A really radical change, I probably won't appreciate too much.

Well, we're now still using the categorical model for Axis II, and the clinicians have already overlooked this axis because it's too difficult to diagnose. Now, they propose a dimensional model - up to several dozens of dimensions based on the Five-Factor Model. I wonder how many clinicians will support this model.
Dx: MDD; GAD;
Rx: Venlafaxine XR 450 mg PO QAM; Atenolol 25 mg PO BID; Zopiclone 7.5 mg PO QHS
Tx: CBT; MBCT; DBT
