Hi and bye,

For my sake and from the recommendation of my therapist, I am leaving this board. If something doesn't help or work for you, then you don't need it. Like ex-husbands, at first they may be great, but then they can turn ugly and hurt. That has been my experience on here. I could vent about certain posters, but I am not going to stoop to your level. As I have said before, I would never for any reason try to make someone that is in a crisis feel worse by ragging on them. Even if I don't agree with the level of success they have had over years to recover from a mental illness.

I don't think psychiatry has put a number on how many months or years it "should" take anyone to recover. As in physical illnesses, everyone recovers on a different time line.

I need to get help from professionals, not from people that are as sick or sicker than I am.

Sorry to leave the friends I have made on here, but I just need to remove any possible source of unnecessary stress in my life. I will miss you.

If a friend wants my contact info, just PM me.

One thing I will say is that if you attack others on this board, remember it could come back to haunt you. You never know what can happen when you treat people badly, even from behind your keyboard. Especially if you are a person in authority that people might look up to for help, treat people as you would like to be treated and be professional. Would a professional person ignore you if you didn't agree with them? Or give you a warning for something you said they did not like?

This board needs people less caught up in their own emotions being moderators and giving out advice. There are other boards out there, where the moderators are much more professional and encouraging. That is the way it should be.

Good bye and good luck!

With Depression, Life goes on.

You are just not part of it...

well I hate to see anyone leave. But if you feel it's best for you then that's it. That's all that matters. I have kind of seen both sides sometimes with the interactions some have had with you but I will say this...
there do appear to be at least a few on this board who are less than supportive and downright argumentative and manipulating. I honestly have no idea why those people are even here.

Well, good luck with whatever you do.

I know there are other boards. As it says in the user agreement we think most other boards suck. That's why we have our own. All our moderators are users first and moderators second. You'll be hard pressed to find another support board where the inmates run the asylum like they do here.

I'm sure you'll find some place that will be sufficiently enabling for you.

De-gnosis: ADD, recurrent depression (or maybe bpII in the guise of such), Asperger's, OCD, social anxiety
Today's Pill Menu: Dexedrine, Wellbutrin (Budeprion), Topamax, Risperdal, clonazepam

Like other moderators and staff of crazyboards.org, I am not a health care professional. You have no way of knowing that I am not talking out my ass. Please do your own homework before making any health related decisions.

I have to agree that this board is unique in the style that it is run; rather, it is run by those with mental illness. Most major mental health boards are subsidiaries of medical health boards, which are usually run very strictly (I would name names, but I don't think it's necessary).

Wow, RN is quite insulting. Despite all the help people have tried to offer her, she's now basically slapping them all in the face.

See you, RN. Don't let the door hit your ass too hard as you go.

This, by default, means that you aren't leaving. It means that you are still here lurking, hoping that someone will PM you. I think lurking and reading what other people write is the saddest form of internet voyeurism.

As my dear father used to say, "Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out." Maybe it is time you actually did cut ties with this group site (instead of threatening to YET AGAIN). We obviously have nothing more to give to you that you will accept as help.

I love the manipulative tone of this post. Whatever, dude. Stay, or go, it's all the same to me. I, for one, am sick of you.
