or in here. It's 70 degrees in here. But I'm shivering, have had to put on another sweater and as soon as I'm done typing, I'm putting the gloves back on. WTF? It's been like this for several days now. I'm wondering if it's the ritalin doing something to my circulation, making me feel cold when I shouldn't. I do normally get cold easily but this is rediculous. And now a couple of fingertips on my right hand are going numb.

Anyone think it's a side effect of a med? All of mine are in my sig.

Brrrrrr.

Well, OK. I took a HOT shower and feel a little better but still feel like the chills could come back. I'm not coming down sick or anything....this isn't like a fever. I just get really cold when it's at perfect room temperature.

The first time I took Geodon, I was freezing, FREEZING all the time. The second time, I was only freezing half the time. In fact, I thought of Geodon before I even looked at your rx.

It's amazing how life threatening situations make the suicidal thoughts slip away. Not wanting pain and wanting to die are two different things.

It's also possible that you're actually getting sick although it could be the Geodon. I don't know which would be more preferable...
The Relevant Basics:

Diagnosis - Depression
Current psych meds - fluoxentine
Previous psych meds - Zoloft (worked), Celexa (didn't work), Effexor XR (worked); neither Zoloft nor Effexor XR worked the second time around; Lexapro worked but made me want to sleep 12 hours a day; chlorpromazine and benzos make me feel more depressed and leave me with a "hangover"

I never thought of the geodon. Maybe. I thought of the ritalin with the vasoconstriction since my extremities felt like ice. But it's been going on a while now. It's not the, I feel like I'm coming down sick kind of chills. I'm just fucking cold...no matter how warm it is in the house. Even putting gloves on, my hands were like ice.

But since I took the hot shower and made and ate dinner and had a couple beers I'm not feeling as cold.

The other thing I think of when I see that someone is cold is thyroid trouble. I have a friend with thyroid disease and when her endocrinologist was fooling around with her meds, she bounced back and forth between being hot all the time and cold all the time.

It sounds like Geodon could be the culprit. Hope it eases up soon.

I've had pretty recent bloodwork. Supposedly a full workup..whatever that means. I basically told her I want her to look at everything she can in my blood and since I'm a skeered of needles this is the only time she's getting me in there to do it so, make it count.

Thyroid levels were definately supposed to be on the list of stuff they looked at. It was kind of one of those..."we'll call you if anything is wrong" sort of things. I'm always suspicious of that. I think maybe I'd like to make an appt. with the gdoc to go over the bloodwork. I basically wanted her to look at things that could account for my being crazy...other than the fact that I'm just crazy. It's looking like it really is all in my head.

But I've always been a bit intolerant to cold, it's just lately it has been very pronounced. I mean, earlier my hands were so cold they hurt. And it's room temp in here. WTF? With fingertips going numb. That ain't right.

I wonder if they looked at iron in my blood when they did their full workup. From the sound of it she, the gdoc made it sound like they were going to look at everything so...

Maybe it is the geodon. :brooding:

Definitely make the appointment with your GP. I think my GP is jesus come back to earth, but he still overlooks things occasionally and I have to remind him. (Stuff like it's time for my bone density test, or how is my red blood cell count.) These docs have thousands of patients, so you need to remind them to check everything.

I would make a list of possibilities, and then go into that appointment and ask her all the questions we've discussed here. She may have overlooked your iron levels or something else.

Hope you find the problem.

Yeah, I probably should schedule an appt. but I feel funny going in there just to discuss the bloodwork results. If I had something else like, running out of my asthma meds then I would feel like I had a good reason to make an appt. I should probably anyway. Oh but ya know what else I'm afraid of right now...going in there and catching the flu or something. Irrational maybe but still...

Wait, I got it...I'm running low on my Allegra. I can make an appt. to get a new script for that and we can talk about all the other stuff while I'm there. That might be a plan. ;)
