We think that Wellbutrin SR causes hypomania in me; I'm guessing it's either that or Seroquel. During the summer, when I was in my delusional fantasy land off meds, I had none of these issues.

Now, I'm noticing that this issue is making less sense as hypomania. For example, most of the time that I have this uplifted mood, I feel the need and urge to move around. I get up and pace the room, or I rock in my computer chair. It's a horrible feeling overall. It goes away when I move as well.

For the most part, this does not affect how I act, except that I move around every once in a while.

I'm not exactly sure what is happening at the moment; it appears to be mind akathisia? Idk.

When I'm hypomanic I have a strong urge to move. If I'm watching TV, I have to get up, walk across the room, look around, turn around in circles a few times, maybe look around again, then sit back down for a few minutes before I repeat the whole thing.
DX: I've never been given an actual DX by any doctor I've seen, however I'm 100% certain to have some form of bipolar (depression, frequent mixed episodes, infrequent hypomania and mania only when on antidepressants), multiple forms of anxiety, PMDD and lately I'm questioning the possibility of BPD due to my "I hate you, don't leave me" behavior even while otherwise fairly stable on meds.

Meds: Lithium 1200mg, Trazodone (god's gift to the sleep impoverished), clonazepam as needed, birth control pills for PMDD (but they don't help).

Sounds like akathisia.

Sounds like akathesia or restlessness. More like restlessness actually. The seroquel that you take would help with any hypomania so I doubt its that. Usually when I'm restless or I get akathesia I take ativan or clonazepam. That helps to relieve it. Tell your pdoc about this and maybe they can give you a suggestion.

Also seroquel and wellbutrin can both cause akathesia and restlessness. Tell your pdoc about this because I know how it feels when you get akathesia. Hard to concentrate, relax, sit down. Maybe you should look at a different medication. Just a thought though.
