How bad is it to drink on low dose wellbutrin?

It's hell on your liver.
It also drops your seizure threshold.
I do it regularly.
Binge drinking is bad for your mental health regardless of what you're on. If you drink in moderation every now and then and don't have a history of seizure disorders you should be OK.

De-gnosis: ADD, recurrent depression (or maybe bpII in the guise of such), Asperger's, OCD, social anxiety
Today's Pill Menu: Dexedrine, Wellbutrin (Budeprion), Topamax, Risperdal, clonazepam

What VE said. I have been on Wellbutrin for either 18 or 20 years (since whenever it came onto the market), and am from a family that often had a glass of wine with dinner. I have not had problems with that at all, and my p-doc knows about it, and is not concerned. But if you do have seizures, it is a different story.

It shouldn't be a problem. Just don't overdo it. I drank on 300mg of XL and I was fine. But I've never had a seizure.

be careful. for me it's one of those drugs that makes 1 drink feel like 2. so, if you're going to drink...moderation.
FYI, PI sheet: "Limit or avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages. Alcohol can increase your risk of seizures and dizziness."

Having a drink soon after taking Wellbutrin gave me the most horrible hangover of my life.
Ten years later, having the occasional drink on Wellbutrin isn't a problem.

I've drank a decent amount on 450 mg and was fine. That was really only one occasion though, all other times I tend to stop at one or two drinks. If you drink in moderation you should be fine on a low dose.
If you have any sort of history of seizures, though, I'd avoid it like the plague.
