I've recently started on Saphris, like Feb 1.

I don't seem to notice any side effects except for the temporary burning feeling on my tounge after it disolves. I don't know if it's working though, I feel like i'm the only person in the world on this drug. When I was inpatient after my suicide attempt Feb 4 the staff at the hospital couldn't even figure out how to correctly administer doseage

Anyways any thoughts on this drug. What is it related to?

There is currently very little data available on asenapine. Pubmed returns only 37 results, many of which are simply announcements of the drug's approval by the FDA. Its chemical structure is not clearly related to other antipsychotics, but seems closest to olanzapine.
We have seen illusion and reality begin to overlap and fuse. The line between them begins to disappear...

I took it for only 3 weeks, 10 mg at nighttime. It was no good for me. I didn't notice any good effects either. I thought I did, but it wasn't. It did make me irritable to where I had a lump in my throat cause I was so angry, and more paranoid. And yeah, it does burn. You eventually get used to it but it's gross.
My "issues": Evaluation in progress...
My meds: Pristiq 50 mg, Klonopin 0.5 mg as needed
Past meds: Celexa, Rozerem, Vyvanse, Zoloft, Lexapro, Abilify, Trazodone, Seroquel, Geodon, Anafranil, Saphris, Cogentin, Risperdal
