skipped work today, just tired of it all. The commute, my dead life, my car is breaking down, life is grey me. No color. My antidepressant is just a sugar pill I guess. I want to disappear and be done with this mess. Sick of talking to people all day on the phone, like a machine. Sick of all the silly childish rules at this dumb job. Wanna go away.

Sorry to hear.

"Nothing tastes" said Marie Antoinette.
And that can be a pointer to drive change, or it can be a more internal problem:
an inability to feel pleasure even in the big or little things that ought to be, or used to be, fun.

I know that, unfortunately, and I have no quick fix to offer.

But you have my fellow-feeliing, for what it's worth.

I have MDD also. I have had really good results over the last few years on Lexapro AND Wellbutrin. Normal ups and downs are expected, but when I feel like you describe, I'm usually due for a med tweak or change.

I have benn taking budeprion for a few weeks now and have a script for lexapro. I am afraid to add the lexapro for fear of side affect sickness. When do u take your lexapro??

I take 20 mgs. of Lexapro and 300 XL of Wellbutrin in the AM.

I don't know what side effects you're worried about but both of these meds, separately and together, have produced the LEAST amount of side effects for me, and I've been on several ADs over the years. I took Lexapro alone for a couple of years and when it started to crap out I added Wellbutrin (1 1/2 years ago). I am very satisfied with the effectiveness of these two meds.

Lexapro is a very low side-effect med. You really ought to see if it works.

I think it will. With Wellbutrin it's the bomb for me and I have pooped out on numerous ADs. You shouldn't have to wait 6 weeks to know if it's working. It started working within 2 weeks for me though the full effectiveness wasn't present, I don't think, until 6-8 weeks. I do remember though I felt better soon enough after starting it to have that aha moment of, "damn, I was really f'ing depressed."
