So I was wondering if anyone else here has stopped getting periods with pcos and if anyone knew if you continue having hormone cyles despite the lack of actual menstration? Is it possible too have pmdd without having periods?
Also im on metformin if that would affect whether or not im having hirmone cycles.
Has anyone gone on metformin and started having periods again?

You really need to go see a doctor, perhaps an OBGYN or an endocrinologist.

thanks. your probably right. i havent been in a few years the last time i went to a gyno he just wanted to put me on bc which i cant take cause it makes me crazy. my gdoc has me on metformin. thats about as far as ive gotten. i will probably ask my pdoc about the possibility of pmdd and ask gdoc what he thinks about me still not having periods despite metformin..if its somthing to be concerned about or warrants a visit to the gyno. I just am not sexually active and havent been in about a year and havent seen the need to go to the gyno since the gdoc is treating pcos but maybe your right. thanks for the reply!

I think you need a specialist. Obviously what ever treatment your gdoc is doing is not really working.
You know, the birth control pill made me crazy too, but being treated with bioidentical hormones
has been wonderful, awesome, made a great deal of difference.
I have pcos too, but I am into menopause now.
