Thank you, confused, I was indeed referring to the Last Insured Date!

My Last Insured Date was less than 18 months after the time I quit working, but that may be because I applied very young to be on disability (24 when it was awarded, 22 at date of application) and I had less than 2 years combined total work history of "full time job".  They didn't really give me a reason that I can see from a quick check of the paperwork.

CAPS LOCK IS HOW I FEEL INSIDE ALL THE TIME.

Dx: MDD, atypical, refractory, recurrent. Dysthymia. Anxiety Disorder NOS. Some "Cluster B traits" of personality disorder (BPD or C-PTSD), probable mild ADHD (inattentive type). Currently triggered: PTSD from events in 2005.

I strongly urge fact checking with your own research and consulting an actual medical professional.

I have started filling out the disability application online. I can only get so much at a time filled out or I get overwhelmed.

Today I order a copy of my birth certificate.

I get overwhelmed too....Especially since my last job loss. It leaves me more "crippled" after each life trauma I face. Like I said, I found a disability support froup, and they held my hand through the proocess. This is the group I used. I think they are exclusive to my state, MI, but they may be able to redirect you if you call them.     Disability Network of Oakland & Macomb (586) 268-4160

I filed out the application online and today I got a phone call to review it. To my surprise they changed the start date to the last time I went out on disability (I returned to work for only 3 weeks before going out again).

She said that the wait time is 7-9 months.

They also referenced when I was on Ssdi in the past, even though it had been many years ago. Hopefully that will help also.

Bipolar 1 with psychosis

Current meds: geodon 160mg, seroquel 400mg, prolixin 15mg, lamictal 500mg, rozerem 8mg, clonopin 2 mg, Provivil 200mg

How many years ago were you on ssdi?  If it was 5 years or less you can get expedited reinstatment

All of a sudden I am afraid I made the wrong decision in going out on disability.

I am on FMLA and could return anytime.

The fact is, if I went back I could only last a few weeks but I almost feel like I need to do so.

I guess itmwouldmscrew up my soc sec application so I really shouldn't do it.

I am a mess.

If you know you need to apply for SSDI, why this intense need to keep returning to work for short periods of time?  It does nothing but delay your SSDI application.

I submitted the application and the next day someone from Social Security called me to go over my application. Turns out she back dated the beginning disability date to two months earlier than I had it. She counted the 6 weeks I was on disability before going back to work for 3 weeks .

She also said that decisions were taking 7-9 months now.

Has anyone got a second opinion when applying for Ssdi?

If so, do you think it was beneficial.
