Help with Abilify! HELP! HELP! Abilify making me sleepy.... Rate Topic: -----

I wanted so much for this Abilify to give me energy.  So far it's been Respiridol (gained 17 lbs), Seroquel (way too sleepy), and now Abilify.  Just went from 5 mg to 10 mg this week, and all I want to do is sleep.  I see people out enjoying themselves and even though I feel better emotionally...I can't stay awake!

Just got up from a 2-hour sleep in the middle of the day!

I thought Abilify was suppose to HELP me have more energy, not cause me to be sleeping all the time!!  Anyone else?  Please tell me it gets better!  I don't have the emotionally energy to switch meds again.

Try to remember that everyone reacts differently to the same meds. Abilify has the potential of increasing your energy but  it seems  to be having the opposite affect with you. What was your energy level like on 5 mg??? Perhaps your body needs time to adjust to the new dosage. Don't give up yet...
