  1. I am devastated beyond belief. I have been very close with Pod since we both joined CBs in 2013. This seems unreal and I can't accept it. His beloved dogs were dumped in a shelter after he died. They look scared and confused. Thankfully, Just Ducky is looking into adopting them or I would drive all they way to South Carolina myself to get them. I haven't cried this much since my tdoc died last year and that was a horrifying situation. I hope we can all remember the great man he was and take that to heart. I will miss him so much and I know I am not alone.
  2. "It is becoming increasingly obvious that David Bowie has established a better alternate universe and is populating it selectively one-by-one" This quote hits very close to home right now.

  3. Now is the time to contact by phone and email your state's representatives that you do NOT want them to take away ACA. This is important for them to be concerned about losing their jobs over this! As imperfect as this may see to a lot of people, losing Medicare and possibly Medicaid too cannot happen! Let's work to improve what we have, rather than gutting and privatizing everything! Rise up! https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/anxious-lawmakers-to-gop-leaders-whats-the-plan-to-replace-obamacare/2017/01/12/bdbea6bc-d8e1-11e6-9a36-1d296534b31e_story.html?utm_term=.383341244f0e
  4. I am a little "off" today, even for me. Feeling anxious about school, sitting around in my nightgown watching documentaries (maybe this one on bipolar kids was not a great idea) and my sister reminded me this is the death-a-versary of our mom. PRN and a hot shower coming up!

Sorry Tam. Those anniversaries can come out of nowhere. I hope the PRN and hot shower help.

Never understood death-a-versary. We celebrate the birth of those that pass away...mostly because the family chose to hump around the same day and so around is born in the like a 3 week time period and the boys are born around a 3 week time period. Anyway. Hope you feel better even though I most typed something crude or well blabbery.

  5. An interesting political topic came up in chat today and I have thought about how I mishandled the subject. I want to apologize to anyone I may have offended. The subjects of politics and religion are usually best left alone, but in these times, they are causes of a lot of anxiety and stress and sometimes cannot always be avoided. I have strong feelings of worry and anxiety about our president-elect and try to keep informed by reading a variety of news sources and sometimes that man's twitter account account if i can stomach it, since that is the only way he will communicate with the masses. It is not just Trump who worries me, but the Pandora's box that has been opened with the rise of his movement-emboldened extreme right-wing politicians and white supremacists and people who are desperate, misinformed and just don't know any better. No matter your political affiliation, it is your duty as a citizen (if you are one) of this country to hold your elected officials accountable to do the right things in your local, state and national offices. Fact check things you read in more than one place (NOT Facebook!) and call your representatives to voice your opinions! It works. This is what made republicans back off dissolving the Congressional Ethics Committee more than a tweet from the Donald. We are living in dangerous times and must hold EVERYONE to high standards! Look into everything and see beyond your party affiliation to make sure it is good for this country, I beg you. Insured citizens are much better off for all of us than uninsured, as are recipients of Medicaid and Medicare. Thanks for letting me vent! http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/the-lesson-be-learned-the-gops-ethics-fiasco?cid=sm_fb_maddow
  6. I am so sorry JD, it never gets easier does it? You were a great friend to your dog. They are our family and you were the best care-taker for the time you had together. I still miss my baby, but I can see picture of her and not cry as much as I used to. She was the best. You did the right thing and I hope you can take some comfort in that.
  7. Happy Belated Christmas!

You too my dear, I hope you had a good holiday

  8. That is great to hear! X-ing my fingers with you!
  9. Okay, so I put on an 'effin Christmas movie to motivate me to clean my house, wrap presents or just give a fuck. I hope it works!

I understand tammy. Here we're on year 2 of not having the tree up and I honestly am not missing it. Oh well, just not wanting to do the whole Christmas thing again. Hope you got the motivation you were looking for. :)

  10. Someone dropped the ball and it wasn't you. Sorry about the GP bs, but glad your pdoc is in your corner. Hope things settle down for you!
  11. I just saw this because I am on here sporadically, but that attorney can burn in hell! So glad your roomie and advocate were there for you. We are here for you too!
  12. Keep pushing to make them give you insurance. I am sorry you have to deal with that and MI struggles at the same time. Sending positive thoughts your way.
  13. I am sorry to hear about the situation with both your ex and your mom. Families can really suck the life-blood out of you. Dealing with family seems to be the most stressful thing we have to do (and always when we are not at our best, it seems). I hope things have improved and we can chat soon. Stay strong!
  14. I am sorry about the insomnia, that makes everything else seem worse. Coconut oil pulling is good for your mouth/teeth. I recently started doing it and I have noticed a big difference in dry mouth and things like that. (I also got a great dental report) Hang in there! I know that is tough to do, but we are here for you at CBs
  15. I can't deal with anything right now. Buying useless shit for xmas seems obscene with all that is going on in the world. I feel like I've done all I am going to do in this life and am just existing and taking up space. This is not my usual time of year for depression, although I do not care for Christmas. I wish I could sleep 24/7.

Thanks, JD. No SUI for this girl, just feeling worthless... A lot of my family has dumped me since I stuck up for the LGBTQ folks and it is taking some getting used to.

      2016 will not be missed!
