  1. Hello there, I'am taking Duloxetine 120mg for Depression and Pure O (OCD) since Feb. 2017. Unfortunately, I still have intrusive thoughts and some symptoms of depression (low mood, no energy etc.), although I can handle my everyday life somehow. However, the whole situation is not satisfying for me and my family. I'm constantly tired, lethargic, grumpy, hungry and unhappy. So what's next? I've already tried to augment with Seroquel (300mg; horrible, horrible experience) and Abilify (2,5mg-5mg, quit working after two months). What's about switching the baseline med? Can I go back to SSRIs like Citalopram, Fluvoxamine or Paroxetine?* Or is it pointless, since the doctors kept telling me that Duloxetine and Venlafaxine were far more potent than the SSRIs... *Lexapro did considerably well in the past, but it unfortunately pooped out after two years. Sertraline did nothing for me (I'm an ultra rapid metabolizer).
  2. Psych Dx: treatment resistant depression (major + persistent), generalized anxiety, adhd Psych Rx: bupropion 450 qd, buspirone 15 bid, adderall 20 am 10pm, clonazepam .5 prn Other Dx: celiac, gerd, vulvodynia/vulvar vestibulitis, oab, seasonal allergies, idiopathic chronic nausea, neuropathy, myalgia, & arthralgia Other Rx: myrbetriq 50 qd, pantoprozole 20 bid, topical estrogen qd, topical clobetasol prn, topical lidocaine prn OTC: mucinex 12-hour bid, vitamin D3 qd, fish oil qd, probiotic qd, zyrtec qd, nasacort qd, saline spray bid, melatonin prn Previous Psych Rx: seroquel, depakote, lamictal, remeron, trazadone, lithium, ambien, sonata, zyprexa, lexapro, prozac, temazepan, xanax, rozerem So I've clearly been on a lot of meds over the years (since first being put on seroquel in early 2013) partially because I was initially misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder. I've been on my current cocktail for quite awhile, and I had been doing pretty well with my depression but it's gotten significantly worse lately due to some life events + unyielding chronic pain that has been getting worse for the last two years. For the neuropathy I tried gabapentin for several months and it did absolutely nothing. I've been suggested Lyrica (which even with my good insurance is still $100 a month or $200 for 3 months with a mail order pharmacy which is a lot more than I can reasonably afford) and Cymbalta. Does anyone with depression and/or neuropathy have any experience with taking Cymbalta and Wellbutrin together? The two SSRIs I've taken (lexapro & prozac) in the past both gave me severe gastrointestinal side effects and I wasn't able to stay on them long enough to see if they even helped. It would be great to have a cheap, generic drug improve my nerve pain and depression, but I'm nervous about trying another SSRI. I'm also fairly uncomfortable with the idea of going off bupropion, bc it's been pretty damn effective if not adequately so. Because when I wasn't on bupropion I was a MESS and I'm afraid of going back to that level of depressed. Also curious if anyone has any success with using any med, Cymbalta or otherwise, as an adjunct treatment for depression? I have recently gotten back to therapy so I'm hoping that will help some but it's hard to follow through on anything from my therapist (or from my physical therapists, doing anything besides going to work & sleeping) bc of executive dysfunction, constant fatigue, pretty severe anhedonia, general feeling of emptiness.
  3. So, I am not 100% better.. I still have some weird side effects, but I am no longer taking Cymbalta! I have been wanting to come off this drug for awhile now , I tried once, failed. Then another time, Nope. And 3rd time , well I guess this was the charm. Let me tell you... the withdrawal , terrible. My pdoc increased the Seroquel to level it out..and it was ok for a few days then all of sudden bam... it began. I sweated, it wasn't even like sweating it was a damp cold clammy sweat when after you get sick or have the shits. My moods were terrible. The crying spells, I had to be watched. I was very Manic Depressive. I was sick to my stomach, vomiting etc. I couldn't sleep, I stayed up until 4am and had sleep paralysis. I honestly wanted to give in and go back on it, just so I could not have these side effects. I pushed thru it. It took me about 2 weeks of hell and now it's tolerable, I am starting to feel better where I can actually drive again with out getting sick. I am getting a little worried tho..because now that I am no longer on any SSRI, or SRNI.. I am starting to feel a lil wound up and agitated. Very hyper too. Hoping this will pass. Anyway just wanted to express that I made it (so far), even tho I wanted to go to in-patient and my t doc wanted me to go to, I didn't. I fought thru this. If any of you came off this drug , how long did it take you to sort of feel balanced again and get off that rocky boat.
  4. Since Trintillex had absolutely no effect (on my anhedonia), my pdoc suggested Effexor. I'm very wary about Effexor due to the horrible withdrawals I had with Cymbalta 10 years ago. I don't remember it helping me much, not worth the withdrawals. If I missed 1 dose by mistake, I would be a trembling mess with full-on brain zaps, anxiety, crying spells, the works... I have tried all of the SSRI's and most make me numb, tired & kill libido. These meds help acute depression, but what about for stable-ongoing low mood-anhedonia? Like when you feel no excitement/joy in anything? Effexor has an even shorter half-life than Cymbalta, which worries me. Question: Will Effexor help symptoms of anhedonia, low mood, low motivation? What was the main difference you felt between the two? (did they feel relatively the same, or did one work much better with less/different side effects??)
  5. Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows whether a possible reaction i'm having can be part of this interaction. My pdoc says hes never heard of it and has no idea but I know that there may be others in the same situation. My morning meds are cymbalta alternating 60mg/90mg and biphentin 50mg which i usually take at the same time around 9 or 10 am. The problem I'm having is that before I started on the Biphentin, i never had withdrawal from the cymbalta unless i missed a dose by like 3 hours or more. Cymbalta is one of those snris with really bad withdrawal where you have to take it the same time every day. I'm now finding that I feel withdrawal (shaky, slurring words, trouble moving, exhaustion) even if i take it 24 hrs apart. I was wondering if the biphentin could be making the cymbalta metabolize quicker. Thanks,
  6. Ok, so I've had PTSD since 2007 when I was still in the Air Force. My meds just aren't working right to me, and I'm having side effects from one of them. I'm on 1000mg Depakote ER, Cymbalta (I forget how much), and 3mg Risperadone (Risperdal). I was taking 750mg of Depakote and 6mg of Risperadone until recently...we're trying to take me off the Risperadone, so the pdoc is upping the Depakote. I see *a* pdoc in the afternoon (my normal pdoc had to cancel and I wasn't waiting until June to talk to someone...I don't like my experiences with the VA for the most part). Anyway, so the plan is to take me off the Risperadone, but I have a major concern...I'm already getting really, really irritable! I haven't really been getting *more* angry, but I still get really angry more often than I'd like. But the irritability is driving me nuts and feels like it's getting out of control, and I'm afraid it's starting to interfere with my work, and I work in a call center and they record and listen to the calls... I also have issues regarding the Depakote. I kinda need to stay on the Depakote because it supposedly helps with my migraines too (which are getting to the point where I'm getting ready to go back on Botox again), so coming off of it and switching to something different may not be an option...I'd want my pdoc to confer with my neurologist before making that decision so they can both make arrangements and changes if necessary. Anyway, I also have narcolepsy. The last time I was on 1000mg of Depakote I almost drove through a bush in the middle of someone's yard. Granted, I wasn't on the stimulant I'm currently taking back then (Nuvigil). But I have concerns that it could make me drowsy again. But like I can take percocet and benedryl and be wide awake, so who knows...I don't normally take pain meds, just when I get kidney stones, but when I do I have to take benedryl because it makes me itch. I'll let you know what the pdoc says tomorrow, but I'd love some input on ideas I can discuss with the pdoc on my next visit. I need something for irritability, depression, and anger (preferably no more than 2 meds), and if one of them could help with migraines too (like Depakote) that would be great...
  7. I'm 40 now. One time I was 22 and knew I needed help so I went to a therapist and she gave me herbal pills and acupuncture. Me, I still wanted to die and I knew there was SOMETHING out there but alas, moms insurance. Needless to say I became more depressed and sat in the cellar of a goth club staring at the wall for 5 years. Numb n drunk. Poverty did not enable me to seek meds but there was a clinical trial for Viibryd in 2012 which I did for three months along with Trazadone. It helped me get out of a dead end life im Seattle with a BPD type (you know how us codependants roll) and move to California. Must've not been a placebo since the withdrawal cold turkey was a week. Fast forward to Obamacare and asked for Citalopram. Big mistake. Called in sick to work, sweating like a crackhead and bipolar like behavior. Tried Buproprion. No side effects but didn't really *do* anything. Sooo....Cymbalta for 5 weeks and I just get more exhausted every second, take two naps a day on top of 8 hours of sleep. I dont have the fibro but do have back pain (DDD) I stuck with it, wouldn't you say? I even doubled the dosage to 120 which made sleepy times worse. I didn't suffer any side effects except the sleepy part. So go to shrink and he immediately wants to start me on generic Venalaxifine 35. whatever to 75 in two days. I asked about stimulants like Vyvanse or Adderall but he refused, though he was just fine prescribing Xanax and this Lorazapam. SO: Anyone had any luck doing this crossover. If it gives me at least more of a boost than Cymbalta, which just made me want to buy flowers and eat ice cream and pass out every three minutes, I would love to hear your experiences. Sorry so long, am newbie, and lonely in this waking dream🎃

  10. Hi all! I had a question. I've been working with my pdoc to taper off cymbalta. I went from 60 to 45, which went just fine, but then went from 45 to 30 and all hell broke loose. Muscle aches, depress, etc., you name it. We'd been planning to go to 20 mg Cymbalta and then switch over to 10 mg Lexapro to do the rest of the step down, but given how poorly 30 mg Cymbalta has gone, I have asked to switch direclty to Lexapro. The plan is now to go from 30 mg Cymbalta to 20 mg Lex by alternating meds for one week (at those doses) and then switching over to lexapro altogether. Then in a few months I'll revisit stepping down on Lexapro. Has anyone done a cross-taper like this, or switched from C to L? I'd love to hear your experiences. My Pdoc is good but doesn't always give me all the context I need, and I'm feeling really overwhelmed, confused, and lonely (of course the WDs don't help!).
  11. It's been about 2 months since I first started taking Cymbalta.. I am at the starting dose which is 30mg. Lately.. I've noticed I am tired more have no motivation and seem to lost interest in pretty much anything. The drug has def helped my anxiety.. I am agoraphobic and I have been going out a lot more and not feeling so anxious. How long can depressive episodes last? I feel like I have just been flat the last 5 months. I got my blood work done and everything looks great..except my prolactin levels; which is probably from my Risperdal. I don't see my pdoc for another month.. which was my decision because of financial reasons. Does it sound like I need to call my pdoc or increase my meds? And I just got over a nasty cold.. which may be why I feel soo tired.
  12. After at least 10 good years on venlafaxine XR, it is definitely not working for me anymore. My psychopharmacologist seems to think that Brintellix is the next option for me, after trials on six different add-on medications. Even with that, he expresses some doubt that Brintellix will work for me. I asked why he's not looking at another SNRI (like Cymbalta) for me, but he said it doesn't make sense to go to a drug in the same class as venlafaxine. I'm so confused. I mean, my history as well as some genetic testing shows that SSRIs won't be particularly helpful for me. Brintellix is basically just a jazzed up SSRI, right? Even though venlafaxine and Cymbalta are in the same class, my body could react differently to them, just like some people respond to some SSRIs and not to others. Any thoughts on how I can make my case to my doctor?
  13. I have been on Cymbalta (30mg) for about 12 days now ..and it seems to help with my anxiety but i feel really flat and almost have no emotions, my sex drive has gone down and i miss it. Not sure if my body is still adjusting to it or if i need a higher dose, but has anyone felt more depressed taking an anti-depressant ? i switched from Prozac to Cymbalta.. because i was very tired/depressed on Prozac and was gaining weight. I don't want to keep switching meds every month...i need some pep damnit!
  14. Ever since I started my antidepressant (Cymbalta) 2 years ago, my gums have been bleeding when I brush my teeth. Apparently, it is a side effect. I had to increase my dosage 2 months ago, and the bleeding got much worse. It is disheartening to spit out as much blood as I have been lately. It is also a brutal reminder of the fact that I am chemically dependant on a pill that has many side effects. Yesterday, I bought a new toothbrush. A Dr. Collins PERIO brush from CVS. It is designed with different bristles for mouth sensitivity and those with mouth injury. It feels like I am brushing with a velvet cloth! I've brushed twice since yesterday with NO BLEEDING! I am so excited. It is funny how sometimes the smallest thing can put you in a good mood. My mouth feels great and doesn't taste like blood. That feels so great. Just had to share. Anyone else have any bleeding associated with their meds?
  15. I started Cymbalta two and a half weeks ago for pain issues (possible myofascial pain syndrome). The first week I felt fine, no issues. Even started to notice elleviation of my pain. Then this past Tuesday I noted the pain in my legs starting to return. Wed till now my left arm has felt-well, twitchy? Almost like I had too much coffee. but JUST THAT ARM. I did notice a rapid heartbeat yesterday, but thought maybe I drank too much coffee. My dose has been the same, no changes. Is it possible this arm this is a side affect?
  16. My psychiatrist put me on cymbalta for severe depression a few months ago. I'm also on lamictal and topamax for bipolar II, which has worked pretty well for ten years or so. While I no longer feel suicidal, the depression still lingers. My biggest problem is that since starting the cymbalta, my fibromyalgia seems to have gotten much worse. Has anyone else had this problem? I thought it was used to help fibromyalgia. I've also gained almost 40 lbs. Been on 60 mg. for 6 months.
  17. First off - if anything here is screwy please just yell at me via PM, I'm a very new user and still learning the ropes. Mods, if this isn't acceptable as far as posts go, feel free to delete. Anyhow - Has anyone experienced misophonia/sensory processing issues after coming off cymbalta? I'm about 2 weeks from taking my last dose and switching to elavil and within the last couple of days it's gotten to where I just cannot STAND certain textures/sounds. Popcorn against my teeth, too-dry towels, certain plastic bags rubbing against themselves - they all just make me want to burst into tears because they're so overwhelmingly awful. I can barely put the experience into words, it's that negative. I would chalk this up to some undiagnosed aneurotypicality (sheesh, how's that for big words) except it's come on really suddenly in the past couple days. I have all this popcorn I can't eat because it's too squidgey against my teeth, it's awful. So far cymbalta withdrawal is the best I've got but I really have no idea. I've followed it up with my psych (who straight up said he didn't know anything - cymbalta withdrawal is my diagnosis, not his) and am going to follow it up with a neurologist but I just wanted to know if this is something somebody else has had experience with too.
  18. I've been prescribed cymbalta for migraines, along with maxalt and difmetré (not sure if this exists where you are or if there are similar drugs-it's a a caffeine/indometacin/prochlorperazine mix), plus a nutritional support with riboflavin, magnesium, coenzyme q10 and gingko biloba. I had depression in the past, treated several times with venlafaxine up to 150mgs; it also, even though I wasn't aware of it until I quit, made migraines better. Now my neurologist wants to put me on cymbalta for migraine prevention, I'm not clinically depressed now, and I wondered who had any experiences with it especially for headaches, not depression. if you take it/took for depression or anything else feel free to reply back anyway, I'm looking for every information I can find. Thanks.
  19. I've been reading a lot on this board about the new Fetzima. I was put on it four weeks ago by my GP when my Cymbalta just didn't seem to get the job done anymore. I've been on antidepressants off and on since 1996 but wasn't diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and ADD until four years ago. Up until then I had been on every drug you can imagine for depression. Cymbalta changed/saved my life, but my insurance company began to only supply me with generic, and I could tell immediately that it just wasn't the same. I started getting brain zaps, and that would usually only happen if I missed a dose. So my GP suggested Fetzima. The first couple of weeks I had the zaps and was a bit fuzzy in the brain, but all in all the transition was a smooth one. I felt decent and was just glad to be taking a non-generic for a change. Then last Friday night happened. 12/19/14 went to holiday party and proceeded to poison myself with shots of liquor. By 10 p.m. I had fallen down twice, blacked out (although I was awake) and could not stop throwing up. (Not typical behavior when I drink!) Husband drove me home. I did not take my Fetzima that night because I knew I would throw it back up. Threw up all the next day until around 3 when I could finally keep some soup down. That's when I took my Friday dosage of Fetzima. Had to stay in bed because I was so physically ill. Slept a majority of the time, took Fetz at normal time Saturday night. Sunday was still ill, brain not functioning correctly, irrational thoughts, completely depressed, slept most of the day and night. Took Fetz on time Sunday night. Monday was hoping to feel better but depression was worse. Fought with husband who doesn't understand what's going on, threw a fit and threw crap around the house, scared the cats, announced that I hate Christmas and I hate my birthday (on Xmas day), I don't want people at my house on Christmas, I don't give a crap about the stupid gifts and everything can be thrown in the trash for all I care. Threatened to leave my husband to be alone at our lake house, he wouldn't let me leave because (mostly) he thought I would hurt myself there or on the way up have a wreck on purpose. I scared him and scared myself that I was being so irrational. I told him of suicide plans that I had made back in the 90s, that it's always there in the back of my mind. He asked if I needed to go to the hospital but I eventually calmed down and showered for the first time in two days and brushed my teeth for the first time in three. I took two Klonopin and slept most of the rest of the day. I felt insane. I now feel incredible guilt for my behavior which compounds this helpless feeling. I want to feel better so today I'll be leaving the house for the first time since Friday. But I'm still here crying, guilty... Everything was fine until the alcohol Friday night. I haven't eaten hardly anything, trying to stay hydrated with water but I'm hardly peeing and can't remember the last time I pooped. I don't know if I'm not eating because I'm not hungry or if I'm just trying to hurt myself? I've lost 10 pounds since November... not on purpose, just burning more calories than I eat. I'm a runner but haven't been able to since last week because the weather is so bad and I really don't know right now if I could run if I tried. Am I doing this to myself - am I in control of my actions, or did all that alcohol and Fetzima really affect my brain so significantly? My family has been through a lot these past two months; my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cancer and had to have her kidney removed and three tumors in the artery from the kidney to the heart, the same week I started taking Fetzima. I have been strong for her and my family but everything seems to be crashing down now. I had been fine until Friday night. This is supposed to be a wonderful time of the year but I just want the holidays over so I can get back into a routine. I am a teacher and I hold my shit together and I'm a professional but these last 4 days have been the worst of my life. I have presents to wrap and I don't even care if they get wrapped at all. I have got to have a better day today.... certainly my brain cannot still be mucked up from the alcohol 4 days ago??? Has anyone else had this experience... getting REALLY drunk on Fetzima (I weigh 107 and had probably 10 or more Fireball shots) and then being bed-ridden for four days??? I'm desperate for advice... I don't talk to my friends about this because I'm embarrassed, and my husband has never suffered from mental illness, so while he tries to make things better, (yesterday he told me I needed to snap out of it - I snapped alright), he only makes things worse. And that compounds my guilt also. When am I going to feel better? Can alcohol + Fetzima basically make someone go insane???
  20. I've been a long time reader of the boards but just decided to join because of the lack of information on Fetzima. I've been taking it for a month now and had a horrible experience these past few days. I've been struggling with depression, especially anxiety, since my teens; mom has OCD/hoarding disorder and dad was just diagnosed at 67 with bipolar disorder (we all knew that, he just wouldn't got to the doc to get medicated). It's beyond me why two wacked out humans would get together and spread their horrible genetics to not just one child, but two. My brother is a bigger mess than I am. I decided not to have children to try to end this bloodline! I've been on Prozac, Effexor, Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Pristique, Buspar, Depakote, Remeron, Cymbalta, now Fetzima, and I know I'm forgetting some. Reading these boards have helped me realize I'm not alone in my struggles. Thank you for that.
  21. I have read many forums looking for the answer to this question. I’m feeling like I’m heading into a tailspin. My story: Until June 2014, I was on 120mg Cymbalta, for two years. Additionally, I was on 5mg Abilify. I have discontinued that. The side effects were obvious. I really feel foolish that I did not associate my miserable physical symptoms with Cymbalta. I take so many drugs. It’s hard to nail down the cause of the worst symptoms. After reading all the forums here and at other sites, it dawned on me…Its gotta be the Cymbalta! I read about the difficulties of tapering Cymbalta and am really scared what the next year has in store for me. Cymbalta has already ruined 2 years of my life. I’ve calculated that it will be close to another year before I’m done tapering. NOW TO MY POINT: My doctor first instructed me to start tapering 30mg. I did not last a day. I was so messed up and in dark places; I was scared I really might hurt myself. I gave in and took the 30mg I’d stopped and was back to 120mg per day again. That was in May 2014. My doctor was surprised I had such a bad withdrawal experience!! So I came up with a schedule to taper 10mg every 30 days or until I feel stabilized on the lowered dose. I have attached the excel worksheet. Box 1 and 2 are percentage calculations. Box 3 is the dosage combination. Box 4 is meaningless to anyone, its just my pill count. My doctor was very cooperative and wrote the prescriptions I needed. I would need to do 10mg per month. In June 2014, I bought a mini scale from Amazon to measure the beads. Well that did not go well, at all! I simply don’t have the patience to take the capsules apart and separate the beads into smaller doses. Those little beads have a life of their own. I followed all the instructions I’ve read on removing the beads. What a nightmare. I read a lot of recommendations to by reduce 10%, but that’s back to bead counting. That’s when I came up with my method. Now I’ll get to the my biggest concern mentioned in my topic! Since I have trouble with the bead counting, I asked my doctor about using Prozac while I taper down. NOW, MY MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION HERE IS THIS. I am using 30mg Prozac now. Does anyone know the proper dosage of Prozac to use as I taper down each month? I know most of you believe in 10% at a time rather than 10mg at a time. I believe that there must be a proportion of Prozac to Cymbalta to use as I taper. There are so much success stories of using Prozac to supplement the Cymbalta tapering but nowhere, from what I researched, has ever explained how to do it properly. Can anyone help me out here? I am down 30mg, 90mg total from my 120mg starting point. For the 10% taper believers, I am still within the 10% tapering range. What I am getting anxious about is, as I continue 10mg a month, is how much more Prozac will need. I am on 30mg Prozac now, along with 90mg Cymbalta. Will I need more? It sucks I can’t rely on my doctor’s advise. After all, he did not understand why I failed 30mg at the beginning and the Prozac idea was my idea that I learned about from withdrawal forums. Can anyone help me? Thanks for reading my story. I wish everyone well that is suffering withdrawals as I am. I feel like a prisoner and an addict. I just want this stuff out of my system. Cheers everyone!
  22. Pdoc wants me to switch from Effexor to Cymbalta. I'm worried about discontinuation effects combined with side effects from starting a new med. Anyone have any experiences?
  23. Hi, I'm new to this forum and I will introduce myself in the appropriate place soon. I have a question for those on Abilify and/ or Cymbalta. When you drink, do you have a delayed reaction? I know I should not drink while on meds, but... I have been on different ADs since I was 14, and have been an occasional drinker since age 18 (34 now) and have never had a problem with interaction. Lately I have been having a curious reaction to alcohol, 2-3 days after I drink. I am fine the day after I drink, maybe a bit of a hangover, nothing unusual. The second day I am starting to feel crappy. Third day I'm down and out, as if I'm not on meds at all. After that things get better again. It has been the last year or so I've had this problem. I was started on both of these meds around the same time so I'm not sure which one is causing the interaction. It is so peculiar but so consistent that my husband and I are both convinced the meds are causing the 2-3 day thing. Sorry if this is post sounds weird but I'm on day 3 right now, been crying all day and my head isn't on quite right. I think it is the Abilify causing the interaction, just a hunch. So, anyone else have this issue or is it just me?
  24. For the past two years, I have been having some trouble with video projectors and color changing lights. When I was exposed to them, I saw trails of the image in red green and blue (which are actually the color channels used in digital imaging, they seperated in my vision) and I felt like my brain was leeking, and there were slight convulsions in my neck and chest. Has anyone experienced such a thing? I was also very depressed and experienced something like sleep paralysis almost every night at the time this started. Over time I learnt to deal with the horrible feelings these caused, the sleep paralysis was gone as my depression got better, but the problems in my vision continued and it bothers me a lot since I am an art student who is constantly exposed to video projectors. Last year I went to a neurologist who is said to be an expert in epilepsy, and after some EEG's and brain MRI's, she couldn't diagnose the situation but said that it probably wasn't epilepsy but a result of my former drug abuse (which was quite minor in my opinion, but I guess she had made up her mind by the time I mentioned it). Recently I started seeing a new psychiatrist who thinks that, even if nothing shows up on my EEG's, this could be some form of epilepsy. I have been using Cymbalta (60mg) for about a year for my depression, my new doctor prescribed me Lamictal for it's antidepressant effects, and to see if it helps with those vision problems. Now that I've been using Lamictal (150mg) for the past few months, the condition seems to vanish. We have been reducing the dose of Cymbalta since, and I'll be quitting it fully in a week. I am still a bit concerned though, because we are now planning to start using Wellbutrin (which I've read that, is known to cause seizures) along the Lamictal, for further treatment of my depression and attention deficit. Any suggestions?
  25. Hey every - I am new this this group and wanted to run something by everyone. I have a bi-polar 2 diganosis and I am taking regularing lihtium (1800 mg) - I am a bigger guy, wellbutrin xl 300mg and klonopin as needed. Now my doctor and I have been taking for some time now about the additiontion of another antidepressant and he wanted to me look at what was available and come back to him with a lis and we could choose from there. I am getting a bit confused because everyone keeps saying 2 antidepprants are going to give me serotonin syndrome and what not. But I seem to recall from my teenage years being on 2 AD's all the time. My worry isnt the wellbutrin but the lithium which folks say can contribute to serotonin syndrome - which by the way I thought was pretty rare. Anyone have any expierence taking Lithium and Wellbutrin and Cymbalata OR Lexapro. Or feel free to suggest any other AD's that you have used with Lithium and Wellbutrin. Thanks a bunch!
