All the dates on google when the atypicals came out such as risperdal, zyprexa etc. are AMERICAN dates, i'm very interested to see in which years did risperdal, seroquel and so on come out in Australia?

Thanks:)

Its somewhat awkward to say when the drug first became available, The approval dates for PBS however is easy.

Using 50mg Seroquel tablets as a start point:

http://www.pbs.gov.a...cine/item/9202H

Open the "Product Information" (PI Sheet) in the information sheets collumn.

http://www.pbs.gov.a...pserxr10312.pdf

Now scroll right to the last page (All these PI Sheets are the same in terms of layout) And it will have a few things of interest:

DATE OF FIRST INCLUSION IN THE AUSTRALIAN REGISTER OF THERAPEUTIC GOODS (THE ARTG)

30 January 2008 (50, 200, 300 and 400 mg tablets)

15 June 2009 (150 mg tablet)

DATE OF MOST RECENT AMENDMENT

16March 2012

These dates are not perfectly accuate, However it gives a rough idea of when the med became available.

If you can't find something make another post and I'll have a look.

Thanks but some of the dates on the PI 's don't make sense. Zyprexa as an example has dates of approval in 2009? I first tried it in 2002...so that can't be right?

Risperdal approval dates are similar coz I met a guy who said he tried it in 1995?

In that case... No clue. It seems they change the date when a new tablet size comes out and things like that. (Which would be zydis for zyprexa I guess).

The announcements for new indications don't go back that far.

http://www.pbs.gov.au/pbs/search?term=zyprexa&search-type=info

Seems to only go back 3 years.

If anyone else has any ideas...

DATE OF FIRST INCLUSION IN THE AUSTRALIAN REGISTER OF THERAPEUTIC GOODS (THE ARTG)

3 February 2000 (25, 100 and 200 mg tablets)

22 November 2001 (300 mg tablet)

DATE OF MOST RECENT AMENDMENT

16 March 2012

I accidently selected a XR tablet rather than IR. The dates were correct, just for that dosage. The Above is correct for IR.

Hunting in the doses all the dates are the same for Zyprexa though.
