Are The Samaritans (crisis line) free? (bringing up from another post)

Alien asked in a post if the Samaritans services are free.  I'm in the US and I don't know.

On their website, it says no, so I'm just gonna stay in chat for now. I've calmed down a bit. If it  (suicidalness) gets really bad again I'll call.

If you have a look at the saynoto0870 website it brings up lots of geographical numbers which will be free to call. 

 

Also if you are in Scotland there is also Breathing Space which is an 0800 number. (0800 838587)

 

Papyrus (Prevention of Young Suicide) also has an 0800 number.  (0800 0684141)

 

And as SYS says if you email they will get back to you within 24 hours.
