Stimulant making me less social?

1 post in this topic

So lately I have been noticing that when I take my Dexedrine or Zenzedi I talk much less, and am easily annoyed or irritated when someone tries to talk to me, especially if I am busy doing something. I also just have less to say when I am conversing and keep my replies very short. It's odd because when I first got prescribed stimulants I was the complete opposite, and actually had increased talkativeness (I was prescribed adderall back then, don't know if that makes much of a difference). Maybe I am just too focused on whatever I'm doing to want to socialize, but this also happens when I'm not doing anything important like watching TV or other mundane activities. It's like I just don't want to or feel like talking.

Does anyone else notice their stimulant medication makes them less social and/or less talkative? If so, how do you feel about this? I find it quite bothersome IMO because I feel like it makes me come across to others as uninterested, impatient, and sometimes rude.
