I've found it takes me more than an hour to get any effect from Klonopin. It's turning into a problem, cause when you need a benzo you need it now.

How long does it take for you?

Chew it up! THat's what I do. They have a kind of sweet taste, not bad at all.

ps I just realized that that's probably why I woke up in a decent mood tdoay... because I took klono yesterday evening. Thensleep meds later. Friggin anxiety. I swear, it's the worst.

No can do. It's a different brand here and they're definitely not sweet.

Maybe I should just switch back to Xanax, even though I hate it.

klompin takes about 20 min. to kick in for me.

when i used to take the generic of klonopin it would take 40 minutes to an hour to kick in for me. if you don't like xanax then how about ativan? (if you can take it that is) i heard it kicks in quickly.

It's hard to say how long it takes for it to kick in for me because i don't really feel it. I think i'd say about 1 hour, or 1/2 hour if i chew it up. It tastes pretty good here, (Canada, generic clonazepam).

You can let it dissolve under your tongue to get the effect even faster even if it does taste like ass.

Mine generally takes about a half hour to kick in. Although I have let it dissolve in my mouth in emergencies.

it takes me 15 minutes to feel it start to work, and 30 minutes to feel it working well, and an hour to be out for the count, depending on how much i take. if i chew or dissolve it i'll get it faster. a "normal" dose for me is .5mg, and a higher dose, like when i'm freaking out, is 1mg. i'll save 2mg for if i'm having insomnia (maybe not the purpose of klonopin, but it works).

Thanks for all the replies. Next emergency I'll try putting them under my tongue. Could be worth the disgusting taste.

Also if need be you could crush the klonopin and mix it with applesauce. If it works with xanax, then its bound to work with klonopin. HOWEVER DON'T CRUSH THE XANAX XR, I've never been on it but I'd hate to see the effects.

I actually tried putting one under my tongue a few days ago and it wasn't bad at all. It pretty much doesn't taste anything, maybe even a bit yummy. So that problem's solved.
