I've been on Clonazepam for a year now. It hasn't worked like I thought it would. I still have panic attacks, and they still are severe. I was getting a bit better with the help of therapy but now its all going down hill. I don't feel like leaving the house anymore. When I do go out I get bad panic attacks and have run to my car or something.
Does anybody know of any better medications for anxiety?

Xanax is supposed to be the best for breaking a panic attack and SSRIs can be taken to prevent them.
I just started Clonazepam yesterday and it really does seem to be a milder benzo. I took .5 mg and nothing. I took 1 mg an hour later and I finally had a reduction anxiety but I couldn't feel it hit me like Valium.
It almost seems like you would have to take it in a more preventative fashion, rather than waiting for full on panic mode.
I wonder if chewing it, like I do Valium would release it quicker? Does anyone else do that?
