The concentration problems and not finishing projects is a sign of ADD. I have ADHD in addition to bipolar. I would try the Lamictal. What do you have to lose? The diagnosis is not so important as relieving your symptoms. Hang in there.

I would continue to try other meds. There are many available and it is trial and errror to find the right ones. Don't give up because these rounds of meds didn't work. Be sure to keep a journal as to what meds at what dose gave you what side effects. This is something i wish I would have done. It is easy to think you can remember how you reacted to what meds, but after you are put on many different ones, your memory is not so clear. Good luck!

Thanks all for the replies. I think I do distract all my thoughts during the day and at night when I lie down, my thoughts just go wild. Geodon use to make me drowsy, but I have been on it so long that it no longer puts me to sleep. I can't take Benadryl because it wires me. I am also having a lot of anxiety at night when I lie down and I think that the Geodon may be causing it.

Hi all! I am new to CB. I am curious if anyone else experiences this and what helps. I get racing thoughts every night when I am lying in bed trying to go to sleep. This happens every night. Does anyone else experience this? It's like once my body is in the lying down position, my mind starts racing. I also experience high anxiety while lyiing down.

I experience happiness. Generally, I only get the feeling of emptiness in the evenings. I think that is because I distract my emotions all day and by the evening I am too tired to do so.

I can be very impulsive. I organize a group and I create events on impulse a lot but then when it comes to organize the event, I don't want to do it. Mood dependent behavior anyone?

I have been on Adderall and it has made me drowsy. I now take a herbal supplement for my ADHD. I take either Focus Formula or GNC:STAT:Get Focused

As my username states I experience anger. Sometimes it is full blown rage. I have found what has helped me when I am in a rage is to throw ice cubes into an empty bath tub.
