  1. One thing I found that helped me is setting an alarm for 10 minutes, then cleaning whatever my eyes fall on. Then I set the alarm for 20 minutes and sit around. Then another cycle of 10 minutes cleaning, 20 minutes laying around. It helps me when I seriously lack motivation, and I got it from Frombirth. I don't really know what to suggest about hygiene. Hygiene and showering regularly are really hard.
  2. Akathisia is so horrible and it really sucks that you have that reaction on each of them. I'm on Latuda and benadry is easing my restlessness. I hope you're able to find something that can help.
  3. Maybe you could copy paste your post into a document, print it out, and hand it to the staff member? It might help get around his unapproachability. He might be able to help you with what's going on.
  4. Terrydrives, I think you may be confused about what paranoia means. The kids that get bullied in school have a concrete reason for fear based in reality. Also, I'd describe always believing the police are coming after you as paranoia because you have no reason grounded in reality for you to think that the police are coming after you. Flames, I'm sorry you are having such scary and confusing things happen. I think you mentioned a therapist appointment tomorrow, hope it goes well. Hang in there.
  5. Can you celebrate his birthday next weekend? Maybe make something super quick and easy tonight, say that you want to celebrate it when you have more time on the weekend? That's how my family usually does it. Maybe you can ask him if the special dinner can wait until the weekend.
  6. I don't really have anything constructive to add, but I'm glad you were able to keep your job I hope you can get whatever accommodations are necessary for you to remain in your position and to be healthy.
  7. I get this too! I don't have ADD, though. It's so annoying but sometimes can be funny. I hate it.
  8. Here's a few you might try. I just did a quick google search, so I'm not really sure about the community on those boards. I also don't know if you are male or female. A resource for males that survived sexual abuse http://www.malesurvivor.org/board/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=1 Mostly focuses on medical issues, but might be useful depending on your particular issue http://www.healthboards.com/boards/sexual-dysfunction-treatment/ Board for survivors of sexual violence http://www.aftersilence.org/forum/ A list for several abuse support groups http://psychcentral.com/resources/Abuse/Support_Groups/ I tried googling some more. I love google research http://www.psychforums.com/sexual-disorder/ this one's dead, but you might want to look at it http://www.psychological.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?5-Sexual-Dysfunction I hope you find one that you are comfortable discussing things in.
  9. I do that and used to do it a lot more. I'd laugh a lot when I was having sad or stressful emotions. It was kind of weird.
  10. I take Latuda and have taken other antipsychotics, and I have noticed little effect on my libido. Side effects do very a lot, though, so I have no idea if other people would lose libido on them.
  11. I've felt something similar, but I don't have a seizure disorder. Where you feel like you lose time and then an electric bolt though you? It's only happened when I was really really tired and also anxious about something. I always assumed it was me falling asleep briefly then waking in a panic. I don't really know if it's the same or what it is, sorry I can't help
  12. I was really sleepy at first on Latuda and it knocked me out soon after I took it but the sleepiness went away after a while. It took like 3 or 4 weeks for it to go away for me. At first I was sleeping ridiculous amounts, though. I've been on 40 mg for about 8 or so weeks.
  13. I just tried it and after clicking on the edit profile button, I scrolled down to the sixth section on the first page opened after that, the one with Profile Information in bold. There was a button that said edit my About Me page to the right of it.
  14. I was 11 or 12 when I first started having symptoms and 13 when it got bad enough to be obvious and was diagnosed.
  15. I usually have music stuck in my head and I've hallucinated it before I think, but in the first case, I know it's just playing in my mind. I think music playing in your head is pretty normal.
  16. Hi, when I hear music, I see colors and shapes as well. When I first got on antipsychotics, the quality of my perceptions changed a little, then went back to normal. edit: By normal, I mean that I still saw colors and shapes, they were just the same as before the antipsychotic.
