  1. So, my husband has decided that he wants me to completely come off of all of my meds and start back from square one with my psychiatrist. He also thinks this will take a weekend...That aside, does anyone know if there is any benefit to coming off of meds in order to start trying to see what actually works? I'm on 7 different meds and am still depressed/manic/obsessed with self injury/etc/etc. Perhaps my husband need to join me for my next appointment? I do want to find what works, but his idea seems way too drastic. dx: Bipolar I w/generalized anxiety disorder/agoraphobia rx: Lithium 900mg, Lamictal 400mg, Zoloft 50mg, Seroquel 300mg, Inderal 30mg, Wellbutrin SR 150mg, Klonopin 0.5mg as needed
  2. @Wonderful Cheese: I'm not sure whether my pdoc is going to go any higher with this. He mentioned this would "take the edge off" my current state. He's a new doctor for me, so he didn't want to make too many changes right off the bat. @bluechick: Ugh, hopefully the sedation won't kick in. Intense reactions are a new thing for me, I don't think I've noticed them in other drugs. On the bright side of things: I have accomplished more around my house this weekend than I have in the past 6 - 12 months... Just wish I didn't feel like I was speeding around the house at a million miles an hour!! Thanks for the responses!!
  3. I started on Gedon on Wednesday and today I am insanely hyper. Spent the morning obsessively organizing my closet and vacuuming the hallway surrounding it, spent the afternoon shopping for a baby shower gift with my family and I couldn't stop talking and talking. Now it's midnight and I've almost completely cleaned my kitchen - and it was in really bad shape!! Can Geodon make a person this hyper? I suppose it's a manic episode, but mine have never been this bad. I have both bi-polar & borderline personality traits along with generalized anxiety & somewhat major depression. Current Rx: 100 Zoloft 2x a day, 200 Lamictal 2x a day, 20 Geodon 1x a day, 0.5 Klonopin as needed. Any help/suggestions/past experiences would be greatly appreciated!!
  4. Hello. I'm crazy, so I figured these forums would be perfect for me! I've been depressed/anxious ever since I can remember. Treated it for a while, then stopped, then went more crazy, now treating it again. I believe I've only actually been diagnosed with depression & GAD, but BPD and Bi-Polar have both been mentioned by Drs and therapists. Also just realizing that I mostly likely have PMDD (fun). My new thing is fighting to stay awake when my body is telling me it's time to sleep. This is usually after 100mg of Trazodone, which up until a month or so ago would completely knock me out for the night. So anyway, my life is a rollercoaster! I'm ready for it to slow down!
