  1. I miss you..I wish you still loved me

  2. The short answer is; YES, you can have a psychotic disorder without having a total psychotic break. A break is really a matter of perspective. If your spouse, parents, friends saw you behaving this way ("talk loudly or yell at the people" etc.) for a long period of time they could possibly get you admitted to a hospital. And that could be considered your so called "break." Or if you were having an "episode" while driving, and a cop pulled you over for speeding, they could arrest you and possibly get you admitted (depending entirely on your behavior). My point is that, whenever the "episodes" come to a head, that can be referred to as the proverbial break. But, yes doing something to break the law would be viewed as a break or people that love you may have just had enough weirdness and decide to get you help. There is no point in suffering for "4-5" or 6, 7... years; get help or get better help, because there are lots of good meds and treatment options.
  3. Its sort of philosophical if you think about it. Imagine a woman is in a room cleaning, but unbenounced to her a man is looking at her through the keyhole in the door. The man is completely focused on the woman and what she is doing. Then, down the hallway outside the room, another person walks up behind the man who is looking through the keyhole. The man doesn't realize anyone is behind him untll his name is spoken. Startled, the mans object of attention switches from the woman and becomes himself, and he realizes he was being watched. At that moment he is outside of him self for however brief of a time. What would it be like trapped in that instantaneous feeling?
  4. It may be an indication of things to come; it might progressively get worse over the years. I would document it and tell the pdoc, meanwhile just know its a delusion.
  5. Both of these! + If you tell your pdoc what u just told us then he better listen; read him your exact post!
  6. I know it says it in most of our signatures, but I was wondering if we could get a thread going of what antipsychotic(s) we are taking regardless of diagnosis, what dose, how well it/each work on a scale from 1-10, and its side effect(s) + any good side effects: I take: antipsychotic: risperidone dose: 3mg performance: 6 out of 10 effectiveness effects: I have a large appetite and its hard to keep the pounds off and I sleep 10-12 hours. It keeps my symptoms under my control. I am wondering if there is something better.
  7. I don't think it's phantom feeling/pain. If it hurts really bad it may be a migraine headache. You didn't make it sound like it was extremely painful, so I would lean towards it being a hallucination of some type. Phantom pain sensations are described as perceptions that an individual experiences relating to a limb or an organ that is not physically part of the body. Limb loss is a result of either removal by amputation or congenital limb deficiency.
  8. Red. =P Whats it like being off of the meds? Do you hear any voices or anything? Be careful not to let yourself become psychotic; it happens to the best.
  9. Bo the dog has it made!

  10. If you're thinking people can read your mind then you should tell the mental health professional you see (see quoted bold), and they can refer you to a pdoc or applicable doctor.
  11. Have you tried Wellbutrin SR? If your already on Lamictal and it has benefits I suggest you keep it because it takes a while to get off it, then back on it (if thats what has to be done) + IMO it works well with Wellbutrin SR. Also, to my knowledge the majority of SSRIs you speak of differ from Wellbutrin in that it works through dopamine receptors.
  12. Well, if your not getting medical guiadance I suggest you do that first. I noticed you are not medicated but have had heavy medication in the past, thats a good indicator that your "psychotic features" need to be addressed, possibly with mediction. It would suck to loose your job (or just be hungry all the time) because you think everbody ia after you. Just my oppinion.
