  1. I've been generally euthymic apart from a few blips since I started clozapine a year ago. It's possible!
  2. Clozapine has been a wonder drug for me, both in terms of mood and psychosis. I've been on it for more than a year now and no hospitalizations.
  3. My first couple days of hypomania due to ritalin have subsided, thank GOD.

  4. I'm so sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences.
  5. Hematology appointment tomorrow. I'm super nervous.

The doctor basically told me I wasted my time coming to see him. I wonder why my GP sent me to hematology. Thanks for checking in!

So typical!  At least it wasn't bad news I guess.

  6. Pdoc put down "schizophrenia" on my aftercare sheet. And this wasn't crappy resident misdiagnosing me; I met the attending solo. I wonder if that's what he thinks of me?
  7. I don't have an answer, but I've noticed recently that I rely heavily on clonazepam to keep my anxiety in check. I'm only taking 1mg per day so it isn't like I'm addicted to a high dose. But I definitely need my 1pm. Yesterday I forgot to take it and I had an anxiety meltdown. I guess this will just have to be my reality for now.
  8. I have the opposite problem: depressed in summer, manic in winter. I'd love to know what that's about!
  9. I don't experience sedation with clozapine. I actually break up my dose: 200mg morning, 300mg evening.
  10. Clozapine saved my life. I'm not exaggerating. I'm back in school full time able to think and work with ease. I still have issues (see blog) but they are intermittent and don't last long. The only two side effects i don't like are weight gain and drooling. But for me it's worth it. PM me if you want to know more!
  11. There are some fruit flies following me and I think they have cameras and are surveiling me.
  12. I wondered about negative symptoms when I first got my SZA diagnosis too. Either I don't get them or the clozapine is treating them, because I don't really have issues with affect anymore.
  13. Welcome to the party, @dancesintherain! I've found a lot of support on this thread and I hope you will too.
  14. I got promoted! Yay!

This is a bad time of year for you. Try to remember that it’s going to get better.

  16. Psychosis is psychosis, regardless of where it comes from. Diagnosis is a totally other story. As others have said, psychosis alongside a mood episode is either depression or bipolar with psychosis and psychosis outside of a mood disorder is a schizo-spectrum disorder like schizoaffective or schizophrenia or delusional disorder.
  17. Anger. Lots of it. Reckless driving. I hope you aren't heading towards a mixed episode and that things even out.
  18. I'm so sorry to hear this! Sending comforting thoughts your way.
  19. I sense a presence that I call "the entity" when I'm having psychosis.
  20. I'm just finding out about jt now. So sad to hear this. He always made me feel heard and supported on the boards. RIP.
  21. Does anyone here have schizophrenia or schizoaffective and also OCD? My insight into my obsessions and compulsions is terrible (such as thinking I accidentally molested someone and should turn myself into the police). Where does OCD end and psychosis begin, especially with weak insight? If you also have this experience, what works for you treatment wise?
