  1. Yeah. Still waiting for the clinic to open. Knock on wood he'll actually get a hold of me today. Wish the clinic was nearby so that I could just show up in person unannounced but can't do that, unfortunately. Yeah I tried rexulti and exhausted their stock of sample packs on it, honestly. I might even have one or two of the sample packs lying around under my bed I never took. I liked Rexulti but couldn't get the insurance to cover it so I stopped taking it
  2. I don't know. I could ask him when I speak to him next. Unfortunately we've been playing phone tag and I haven't gotten to speak to him yet... But I will ask him when I eventually get to speak with him. That's a good idea. Thanks!
  3. Yeah, agreed. I would like to give Vraylar a shot but if prior authorization approvals were wishes with my insurance... I wouldn't have many wishes granted. Though I don't see how they can happily and without authorization cover the expense of brand name Latuda but won't cover Vraylar. But who said insurance had to make sense. Thanks for the reply!
  4. When I say downward spiral I just mean in my head and in my behavior... I guess that's pretty much everything though, isn't it? Up to and including outbursts of emotion (crying), feeling suicidal (not with a plan, just feeling "why not just end it all"), isolating myself. It's gone on over the course of a week or so. No I didn't taper the effexor because I didn't have instructions to taper nor did I have enough effexor to taper. My feelings are still out on Latuda. It works for the psychosis and it doesn't feel like I'm drugged up like some other antipsychotics so I like that, but the supposed benefits for the depression? I still haven't felt them but I might still need a higher dose my doctor says. So we'll see. Thanks for the reply. My venlafaxine dose was supposed to be 450mg but my doctor wasn't able to get a prior authorization through insurance to get me at that dosage. So I was taking 150mg a day. So far I have a similar outlook on venlafaxine vs desvenlafaxine as you do. One seems to work (kind of) while the other may as well be water at least at this dose. Good to know Desvenlafaxine can go up to 400mg, maybe there's a chance he can increase it to that? Either that or put me on Cymbalta, I had okay luck with that SNRI. Thanks for the reply.
  5. Desipramine is hardly sedating (it sedated me the first time I took it and then never after that) and relatively easy to dose. Protryptiline is also not sedating but it's somewhat harder to dose. I've taken them both and they are both relatively decent antidepressants and also help with ADHD (in my opinion) probably due to their primary neurotransmitter being targeted being norepinephrine. I've taken both with Adderall and they worked well synergistically. Since you're in France you also have the chance to try Tianeptine (an atypical tricyclic) which I've heard good things about or possibly Reboxetine, an antidepressant that also targets norepinephrine. Just food for thought.
  6. So I have Unipolar Major Depression with Psychotic Features (along with ADHD, PTSD, and Panic Disorder.) I'm currently taking: 80mg of Latuda QD, 100mg of Desvenlafaxine QD, 30mg of Adderall BID, and 2mg of Clonazepam BID. I was recently (last week) cold turkey switched from Venlafaxine to Desvenlafaxine and had my Latuda raised from 40mg to 80mg. I must add that I was up until two months ago (last dose two months ago) receiving the Abilify Maintena 400mg injection monthly, which was good for my depression in general but didn't adequately control my psychotic symptoms. I know Abilify Maintena stays in your body a long time so this may have something to do with it, but I'm unsure. Anyway, for the past week, since the switch to Desvenlafaxine and upping my Latuda, my mood has been going downhill in an extreme way. My doctor said that the Latuda should help with my depression too and that I may not be metabolizing the Venlafaxine properly (I've had a genesight test done but at another facility and and we're trying to get a hold of the results.) So I'm wondering, what gives? I mean, there's been a lot of switching around in the last week alone and I'm not above thinking it may be a combination of factors. But could I be withdrawing from the Venlafaxine in a way despite Desvenlafaxine being very similar? Could the Abilify be just now leaving my bloodstream and leaving me feeling bad? I'm supposed to call the doctor in the morning and hopefully get a hold of him, if I can. I was just wondering, if you were in my shoes, what would you suspect is the cause of the sudden downturn in mood? Thanks a lot.
