Sertraline standalone makes many people somewhat apathetic, indifferent and unmotivated, and that's why doctor Gillman suggests augmenting it with Nortriptyline OR alternatively taking Clomipramine standalone for the full SNRI effect... Did anyone here try both combos? I am getting back on antidepressants and not sure how to proceed... but if I had to choose, I would preferably go for one of the two possibilities.
I believe I am ultradian cycling or something... I feel good in one part of the day and the other half I am so miserably and suicidally depressed I am borderline psychotic. I don't have the motivation to try to get through to my pdoc's office to get a work-in appointment, but that looks like what I'm going to have to do. I asked her about clozapine and lithium and she said no to both, and that lithium can actually induce suicidality in people. I'm desperate. I've been through just about every medication (see signature). Does anyone know of a bullet proof combo that both treats suicidality and prevents it from reoccurring again? My support group is here for me, but I'm scared of worrying them too much or causing them unnecessary pain. I'd just like to be normal.
Hi everyone! Ok my the main thing is that I just started taking aderall (5mg IR) today, and have been taking wellbutrin IR (2x75mg pills 3 times a day...) for at least 8 months now. My issue is that the wellbutrin has helped tremendously with my depression up until this very day, but I feel that I need to cut it down since the combination of the aderall 2 X daily and wellbutrin 3 times a day will make my anxiety much worse - in fact I know that it will - aderall has done it in the past! What I want to do is cut down on my wellbutrin dosage to either 2x 75gmg pills twice daily (instead of 3x)...OR...1 75mg pill 3 times daily... It is just as important that I treat my ADD as well - so the aderall is a must at this point. Now the reason why I haven't asked my psych is because I have two different doctors prescribing these medications for me; one doctor stopped treating me for my ADD (never started treating again, actually) when my old doc quit almost a year ago now, and so the doc after him started giving me wellbutrin for my ADD (because I "didn't have my papers showing my diagnosis..."), which really sucks for add treatment alone - on the other hand, the wellbutrin really helped/helps with my depression... Now the new doctor prescribing me aderall again has no idea that I am taking the welbutrin (or that I was treated for my ADD in the past) - and I want it this way in order to be treated for my ADD. I have been prescribed both at the same time in the past, years ago, but was only taking welbutrin once a day and aderall 3 times a day, back then... How can I adjust my med doses so that my treatment for depression is not completely disrupted? How would you all dose/time it?? I'd really appreciate some advice - and without anyone telling me to ask my Doctors, because that obviously isn't an option right now. BTW I am also on buspirone 15mg twice a day, which has worked a miracle on my normal anxiety (non-stimulant anxiety) and am hoping that the bus is still as effective for my anxiety as it usually is. Thanks guys Me
I am on abilify, lamictal, and lexapro. I just realized yesterday the cause of my sinus pressure runny and stuffy nose and occasional sneezing could be allergies. So my mom has given me an allergy pill to find out-it contains the following... acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, and phenylephrine. Can I take it with my meds? Has anyone here had trouble? Has anyone taken them and are fine? I am know acetaminophen is fine. But what about the other 2?
