  1. I am currently on 300 mg of seroquel for bipolar II (mainly depression) and 300 mg Lyrica for anxiety. I want to come off the Lyrica because I think it might be causing rage and it always seems to happen after my morning dose of 150 mg Lyrica, and 100 mg of Seroquel. I take 150mg of Lyrica at 9am and then again at 5pm. My Seroquel is taken at 100 mg at 9am and 200 mg at 9pm. It is Extended Release. The Lyrica is in capsule form. Any thoughts? I am smallish 44 yo woman.
  2. My doctor seems to think Lyrica is a mood stabilizer. Is this right? My meds don't seem to be working. Zoloft 125mg and Lyrica 300mg
  3. I'm currently on 60mgs of morphine a day, 10mgs flexaril, and 20 mgs of hydrocodone. My pain doctor and I are trying to reduce pain without going up on the hard stuff. I'm currently trying gabapentin (300mgs 3×a day) but I dont notice any difference. We're trying lyrica next. I'd love to hear experiences with Lyrica.
  4. Hey I have essential tremor, depression, PTSD, GAD and social phobia. Right now I removed buspar and and reduced my zoloft to 75mg. I feel better as a result. I still take a low dose of ativan. I think what bothers me the most is I shake. I've heard Lyrica is used for essential tremor in some cases. Anyone take Lyrica for essential tremor. It was suggested to me as an anxiety med but the emergency doc at the time was worried it would make me too drowsy. My family doc might not want to prescribe it. My psychiatrist is pretty uncreative and thinks I should just take ADs and benzos. I am waiting on a second opinion in February 2018, plus a meeting with a neurologist in March.
  5. Hi all, I hope everyone is good. It must be going on 9 months since I posted here but I feel nothing has changed. I've been on Wellburtrin and Lyrica but despite working up the dosages I feel like it isn't working and was leaving me feeling drugged stupid and emotionally flat. So I have been tapering off but now I feel quite physically bad with, aches, pains and fatigue is back big time. Although I can think more clearly again being depressed all my thoughts are about negative stuff and death. I've no idea where to go from here now. Pdoc said increase Wellbutrin further and was on about adding in Lexapro but I've been down the ssri route before and they don't suit me. I have been reading up about alternative treatments like CBD oil, clinicial trials on drugs like Ketamine... pretty keen to try anything I haven't already tried at this point. Even stuff I used to manage when depressed, like going for a walk, has become incredibly hard this last month. I barely leave the house. No idea why I'm posting this probably just desperate for some kind of communication with the outside world.
  6. I know absolutely nothing about Lyrica/Pregabalin. (you'll see on my sig I've taken quite a few different classes of meds). It appears to be an Anti-convulsant but good for Anxiety? For some reason, my pdoc mentioned she might consider this in my last appt with her (i've had poor effects or minimal benefit from SSRIs, SNRIs and A/Ps). I will be increasing my dose of Lamictal (to 150mg) because it is not working well enough to control my depression/anxiety/distress symptoms. Symptoms increase in the evening, especially under stress/situational change right now. I'm experiencing a bit of an adjustment disorder at the moment. She also thinks my mood pattern may be more PMDD-related (instead of the up/downs of Bipolar) She is still trying to find the right diagnoses. Has anyone been on Lyrica? Did it help with Depression AND Anxiety without super sedating effects? Are there side effects (like weight gain, sexual dysfunction) that happened for you? I am a bit concerned being on 2 Anticonvulsants (the decreased white cell blood count/immunity thing)...I have no history of seizure/pain issues. I also do NOT have major anxiety or GAD. I will be using Atarax PRN at night to reduce stress/anxiety/tension before bedtime.
  7. I've come across a few academic papers that seem to give hope to people with treatment refractory OCD. These papers suggest that not all OCD may be serotonin-related, and may be related more to high levels of the neurotransmitter glutamate. In which case a number of drugs could show potential benefit. Has anyone here given any a try?
  8. Does anyone know if Lyrica and Adderall are safe to take together? I've been reading a lot of things online about how lyrica may affect how the adderall works and vice versa but I don't really understand the terminology used in the pharmacodynamics. Even if it is safe to take together do the have any impact on each other in how they will work? My pdoc doesn't think there is anything to be concerned about but at the same time she has said things before that make me think she's not as educated as I'd like her to be. Thank you in advance for any information on this.
  9. I am on Lithium, and have predominantly Manic episodes. The Lithium is helping the mood swings, but not my Anxiety, so I am going to soon be trying Lyrica for my Anxiety. Does anybody else have experience with the combination, OE even just Lyrica for anxiety? Any input would be awesome. :-)
