  1. So, I decided to make an account because I wanted to get some ideas about what I can do to stop some of the pain of Klonapon withdrawl. I am not a substance abuser and I was perscribed clonazepam since I was 12, right now I am on a .25mg taper I take once at night which has been a little over a month now, and I started at .5mg for about 10 months , I was on a higher dosage prier to that taking 10 mg for the rest of my earlier young life taking it. I am 22 now, and most of the symptoms now seem to be under control except throughout the day I still feel a rapid heart beat, though my bpm is 62 and my blood pressure is normal, I got blood tests done and an ekg, everything seemed fine there, so I was wondering if there are any non narcotic suppliments that do not interfer with the withdrawl recovery process, and things I can do to keep my head on straight about my issues+ things that help anxiety, I would also like to know how long I should be expecting to feel palputations? Thank you =)
  2. Hi Folks, Long time reader, first time poster. I've found myself in a rather tricky situation and I honestly don't know where to turn to for advice/guidance. I'll try and be as brief as possible :) Back in 2010 I was placed on Lexapro for depression/anxiety (due to cognitive perfectionism), this worked great at the start but over the course of 4-5 years I felt it ran it's course with me. I approached my family doctor and asked if he could place me on Effexor as I wanted to avail of the 'N' part of SNRI. Like Lexapro it worked great at the start but over the past 4 years it has (I think) ran it's course for me. As I'm sure many here would know the side effects of this SNRI is unforgiving and for the past few months I felt I was only getting a few hours of freedom from the depression/anxiety every day. Being dependent on the medication didn't bother me at the time but the cycle of feeling crap in the morning before taking it, then feeling awful to feeling a bit better in the afternoon to feeling good in the evening just took it's toll on me.. It's no way to live to be honest. I discussed with my doctor to come off the medication for good but here is where it starts to get tricky. I'm on 150mg XR which is a capsule with 12 tiny tablets in it. I'm currently taking out 1 of those 12 tablets every week until I'm finished with them, that will take 3 months in total. The good part is I'm not feeling horrible side effects, but what I am feeling is strong depression, lifeless, tired, no motivation, brain feels like it had a lobotomy, forgetfulness, low energy and pretty sleepy all the time. This is (I think) what I was feeling like back in 2010 but it's such a long time ago I'm not too sure. So is this the return of the original symptoms or another side effect of coming off the medication.. I'm 1/3 the way into weaning off the drug and I just feel wiped out, everything is a struggle and I'm starting to question my decision. I know it's quite early to pass a proper judgement but jesus, I'm exhausted over nothing... This might not ring any bells with anyone but I kind of wanted to put it out there anyway Cheers for reading, Vadar :)
  3. Hi all, I hope everyone is good. It must be going on 9 months since I posted here but I feel nothing has changed. I've been on Wellburtrin and Lyrica but despite working up the dosages I feel like it isn't working and was leaving me feeling drugged stupid and emotionally flat. So I have been tapering off but now I feel quite physically bad with, aches, pains and fatigue is back big time. Although I can think more clearly again being depressed all my thoughts are about negative stuff and death. I've no idea where to go from here now. Pdoc said increase Wellbutrin further and was on about adding in Lexapro but I've been down the ssri route before and they don't suit me. I have been reading up about alternative treatments like CBD oil, clinicial trials on drugs like Ketamine... pretty keen to try anything I haven't already tried at this point. Even stuff I used to manage when depressed, like going for a walk, has become incredibly hard this last month. I barely leave the house. No idea why I'm posting this probably just desperate for some kind of communication with the outside world.
  4. I have been taking 15mg remeron and 200mg seroquel. Recently, my doctor decided to throw in clonidine for adhd. I took clonidine and felt fine afterwards (4 hours later). After which I decided to split my seroquel dose. I took 50-100mg seroquel (with plans to take the other 100mg at bedtime) and within an hourish, I have had this constant pressure headache. It has been about 28 hours of non-stop pressure headaches. Ct scan came out clear. I stopped taking anymore more meds after the headache began. Could this be because I lowered seroquel dosage?
  5. I was recently advised by An ER p-doc(yesterday) that it was perfectly fine to simply stop taking Wellbutrin SR 150. I've been taking Wellbutrin, in one form or another, for over 20 yrs. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience/been given the same advice, and if so, what was the outcome? For years, I took Wellbutrin XL 350. 1x daily. More recently, because my insurance changed and that type of Wellbutrin wasnt on the drug formulary, I switched to Wellbutrin SR 150. 1x daily. I had also stopped taking Lamotrigine- cold turkey because of horrible side effects-- severe nausea and vomiting. As a result, I have only been taking the Wellbutrin for mental health. My new p-doc is aware of all this, except for the recent advice the ER p-doc gave me yesterday. i have an appointment with her on Wednesday, so, day after tomorrow. The complete advice of the ER p-doc was: stop Wellbutrin altogether, and don't start any other mood stabilizers until I see my regular p-doc Wednesday. Any advice, commentary, similar experiences you may have would be greatly appreciated. Personally, I am not happy about this so called professional advice, but don't really know what to do at this point. Thanks. Essentially, what I am wondering-- does this strike anyone else as spectacularly BAD advice, or is it just me? Diagnosis: Bi-polar II, GAD, panic disorder, ADD. Hypothyroid disease. Meds: Levothyroxine 100 mg 1x daily Xanax 0.5 mg as needed (I usually only take 1/2 a tab) or Ativan 0.5 mg as needed. (also only 1/2 tab) Past RX's: Wellbutrin, Lamictal, Depakote, Klonopin, Celexa, Prozac, Ambien, Seroquel, Risperidone.... Elavil, Paxil, .... too many others I can't remember.
