CeremonyNewOrder
I talked with my pdoc today and she mentioned Transcranial magnetic simulation (TMS) treatment because I've failed 98% of antidepressants and we are running out of options. She said it might be hard to get the insurance to cover it because my diagnosis isn't MDD, which it is approved for but she said she would be willing to make the case for me to get it. It sounds like its not that invasive or anything so I'm willing to give it a try. Anyone have experience?
climber47
Yeah, I did 30 sessions of TMS maybe 4-5 years ago? It's easy enough, mildly annoying, like a woodpecker pecking at your head, but I would just watch Netflix and it wasn't too bad. Sadly, zero benefit though. But I'm an extremely tough case. Gearhead
I don’t have experience with TMS specifically, but after my first MRI, which was of my head and shoulders, I felt really serene. It lasted for days. This before I had ever heard of TMS, so it can’t be chalked up to placebo effect.
sming
Did 42 30 minute sessions. Fuck all response. Yeah.
