dancesintherain
So I take prazosin to suppress nightmares. It does a good job. New sleep psychologist thinks that with the right intervention, I might not need it anymore. I'm willing to give that a try. I won't go off it until we've got the intervention in place and my pdoc says it's a good idea, but just so I have a good sense, how long does it stay in my system? If I were to stop taking it on a Friday (as a pure example), when would the nightmares possibly resume if they're going to resume?
dancesintherain
just checking in in the off chance that someone missed this the first go around
Iceberg
Sorry dances- I saw it but I wasn’t totally sure. Theoretically it has a short half life so the washout should be pretty quick but I also don’t know much about the med specifically
dancesintherain
thanks! That makes sense--I know it's not one of the tried and true meds that are used except for PTSD.
