dancesintherain
Hi CB, Does anyone have experience with Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (TREM)? I've done some googling, so I know the basics, but I'm just curious for personal experience. I haven't talked with my tdoc about it yet (that's Monday), but I know that he's interested in it and planning to describe it to me. One advantage of TREM is that it doesn't exclude severe mental illness or psychosis, which a lot of trauma treatment does. Anyway, I know it's a long shot, but I figured I'd check. -dances
Iceberg
Hey dances just curious is this group or individual? I’ve heard of it for group
dancesintherain
I think he’d be adapting it for individual work with me. Not 100% sure, but fairly close. Any experience would be helpful though.
dancesintherain
I've confirmed that the idea is that he'll be adapting it for 1:1 work. His former boss came up with the program and he has experience with it in a group setting. We're waiting to start until I get past a major work deadline.
Iceberg
In that case, I don’t know much, but I think it’s encouraging that your doc is willing to try such an individualized program. Hope it helps!
