lilie
Cruise Attacks Psychiatric Drugs Again Tom Cruise is attacking those who prescribe psychiatric drugs again in the May issue of men's style magazine GQ. The actor, who embarked on an anti-drug tirade in TV interviews last summer on behalf of his Scientology beliefs, has launched a fresh attack on psychiatry, calling for prescription pill poppers to think carefully about the harms they're doing to their bodies. He tells the magazine, "I've always found the 'if it makes me feel better, it's OK' rationale a little suspect. "I think it's appalling that people have to live a life of drug addiction when I have personally helped people get off drugs." In the interview, the actor claims he can get someone off heroin in three days through Scientology's detox programs. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate...7&entry_id=4248
wifezilla
It is bad enough that he is a freak, but now he is making a new freak with another freak. It just keeps getting weirder and weirder.... "Late Scientology creator L. Ron Hubbard urged mothers to keep as quiet as possible during labor so they do not traumatize the child. On Monday, huge placards saying, "Be silent and make all physical movements slow and understandable," were carried into the couple's home, to be displayed around the house to remind Holmes to deal with the extreme pain of childbirth quietly." http://www.moono.com/news/news01765.html
wifezilla
Here is the picture of one of the placards the press saw them taking into Katie's place.... http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/272/katie...splacard8ik.jpg But this is the one that makes me wonder if her brain washing is sticking.... http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/4676/ka...placardg5xm.jpg
sepia
It's not 100% bull. Birth Without Violence (non-scientologist) is a beautiful and enlightening book. There is much to be said for a soothing and comprehensible environment for the neonate. The placards just sound obnoxious, though.
Tenebrae
ok. i'm convinced. Tom Cruise IS the anti-christ, and he is trying to take over the world.
ldo
Relax. It's all brilliant bass ackwards marketing. Tom Cruise is obviously an asshole, and he works hard to keep that way. A great sacrifice. Anything he likes, people are going to avoid. In his heart of hearts, that's what he wants. Do you really think ANYONE is that bad honestly? juzzy
He has to be one of the most ignorant public speaking ppl there are in the celebrity arena. I'm surprised it took Aussie Nicole so long to dump him.... i think he's still trying to get over it! Perhaps he needs some meds ? ;-)
reddog
Scientology is NOT a religion. it's something dreamt up by a mediocre science fiction author, on a BET, that he could invent some kind of belief system that people would buy into. it became a church ONLY after he discovered that churches have tax-exempt status. he lifted a lot of Scientology 'beliefs' straight from his sci-fi writings. i at least give the religions of the world credit for evolving from the collective belief systems of many people in a culture, and for being *sincere*. L. Ron was just trying to win a bet, for Chrissakes! (pun intended)
Tenebrae
oooo if we're doing sci-fi religions can we do the one from stranger in a strange land? there was lots of sex and stuff if i recall!
scatty
On Monday, huge placards saying, "Be silent and make all physical movements slow and understandable," <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I heard a joke that Tommy has displayed the placards so Katie can see them when they have sex. I say that is ridiculous- there is no way they have sex. This pregnancy is a joke. It's probably L. Ron Hubbard's love child.
ncc1701
Heya, Heh. Yah reddog, that was what I was thinking to say when I started reading this thread. Hey, LRon proved his point pretty thoroughly!! People will believe anything they read. And, it's not *even* good science fiction. *That's* what's *really* annoying. --ncc--
ZacharyOdette
I really want to know what Cruise's heroin quote was. "Give me a bong, good ganja, a lighter, and some Prozac and I WILL...get rid of this person's heroin addiction." Some Cruise humor for ya... http://www.zacharyodette.com/artwork/cruisealiens.gif http://www.zacharyodette.com/artwork/eman.gif http://www.zacharyodette.com/artwork/popeye.gif I am seriously mailing these pictures to Cruise soon. *EDIT* You have been asked to stop promoting your site already. Politely. There is no reason to constantly link in the majority of posts you make. STOP. NOW. Loon-A-TiK
As I've commented before on the topic of our beloved Assmunch Tom Cruise (just come out of the closet already!), he needs to visit a psych ward and witness just the pain and trauma these people go through. Heck, I'm sure that if there were some secret way for people to be cured of MI, we would all sign up. However, it seems that our p+tdocs are the only ones who can help in this tragic world. Kudos to TC for making himself look even worse than usual, and for giving us MI something to smile about. Loon- who is saner than TC and at least admits bisexuality
