Covert Narcissists

Recommended Posts

This is common in my family (No formal Dx'es)

My eldest sister in particular. If someone mentions a mental health or physical health complaint, she has to one up them. Rater than offering compassion. Instead, her issues are to be viewed as worse than anybody else

I can't talk to most of my family about my mental health, because they try to compete. So our conversations avoid it

When we have catch-ups, we discuss their issues and mum's health. I'm lucky if I get a "How are you, Dan?"
