HaloGirl66
I lost my half-full bottle of 50 mg zoloft. I can't get a refill until the 19th. I am going to try and pick up some samples from my pdoc, but I can do that until Monday at the earliest. So, I assume that going off my zoloft cold turkey will make me feel like crapi So I have at least 5 days with no zoloft and I am working 60+ hours this and I can't afford to feel like crap. I do however have old bottles (not expired) of lexapro, wellbutran and effexor. would taking some of one of them be better than taking nothing you think? My pdoc doesn't seem to think the discontinuation effects will be a big deal, but he thought the same thing when I went off of Effexor and Lexapro and it royally sucked. Opinions? Ideas? Greenyflower
Hi, Halo, I'd take the lexapro until I could get the Zoloft situation straightened out. They're both SSRIs. Both Wellbutrin and Effexor and dual reuptake inhibitors and could mess with the goodness you've got going. The 50 mgs Zoloft will correspond with 5 - 10 mgs of Lexapro. Good luck. Let us know how it works out. Greeny I lost my half-full bottle of 50 mg zoloft. I can't get a refill until the 19th. ldo
You might check with your pharmacist. Mine asks me if I need two or three days worth of something if there's any trouble getting the renewal thru. Perhaps yours would help you with a couple of day's worth? If you're working 60 hours, does that mean you can afford to pay for a few days of the stuff? Hope you get this worked out without too much trouble.
chimpmaster
Hmm, im not sure about these suggestions. My advice would be to leave a phone message or letter (in person) for your dr, explaining you lost your pills and need an emergency script. All but a negligent dr will halp you out the same day. Mixing and matching other drugs may work, but it can be dangerous too, with risk of serotonin syndrome for one.
