Odd sleeping hours?

When I'm obligated to get up, I have no problem doing so (school, appointments, etc), but when I am left to my own devices, I prefer to sleep something like, 5 am - 3pm. It happens every time I have no reason to wake or sleep at reasonable hours.

Am I alone?

Hi!!

You're not alone. I'd prefer to sleep between 4am and Midday every night, but of course that isn't possible most of the time. I can't get to sleep most nights for a long time and I'm scared to go to bed too. It all seems quite weird to me at the moment.

You're definitely not alone. Google "Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome." The latest and greatest drug on the market that's supposed to address this specific sleep disorder is Rozerom. I've been on it for a few months with moderate success.
