Ammity Posted May 24, 2006 Share Posted May 24, 2006 My Dr and I have decided to add Zoloft to my usual medications of Effexor XR 150mgs, and Lamictal 200mgs. The reason is because lately I've become so depressed that all I do is sleep sleep sleep, anytime and anywhere. I don't want to get up to go to work even though I love it. All I ever want to do is sleep, I sit around feeling sorry for myself. And my body aches and pains... My diagnonsense is Bipolar II Disorder, but Dr is not sure if I just have anxiety and depression. I don't really care, all I know is I'm so unmotivated that I could veg out for a couple years in my bed if i could. HELP! Wait, the question is. Lamictal, Effexor, and Zoloft- what should I expect? numbone Posted July 9, 2006 Share Posted July 9, 2006 I was on a shitload of meds for what my previous doctor dx as drug resistant depression / ADHD. He had me on effexor xr 300 mg, wellbuttrin xl 450 mg, provigal 200 mg, metadate cd 40 mg, lamictal 300mg and had just started celexa after a period of zoloft, before i ended up in the hospital. Turns out dx was totally wrong, its bp mixed state, now i'm doing depakote 1500 mg, lamictal 200, and wellbutrin xl 150. I still feel like shit, but better. Even the doctor was shocked that all those antidepressants and i still was depressed as shit, i just didn't have the hide in bed syndrome. Maybe you should look into provigal. Its a non amphetimine stimulant, used primarly for narcolepdics and people that work fucked up shifts. Nice feature is that if you want to sleep it isn't hard to turn off, where as the metadate made me pass out rather than helping me focus Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm on both; tried to add welbutrin for smoking cessation and the seratonin syndrome and dizziness made me stop the wb. I'm doing ok with the lam & effexor; hope something works out for you!
