Loon-A-TiK
I've always burned under a 40 watt bulb, but now I can't go in the sun at all uncovered. Look at the meds I take and just WONDER why! LOL. Anyone else develop sudden sun sensitivity?
Sunshine
It's a fairly common side effect of many crazy meds. I forget which ones off the top of my head, though.
Anelize
I haven't really been able to tolerate the sun since I started taking seroquel. It's not so much that I burn--I'm fairly olive skinned. It's that I overheat so quickly. I have a healthy paranoia regarding Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome, having taken care of a couple of people with it as a nurse. Badddd juju. Living in Florida can be a challenge. I always wear a hat, stay inside during the hottest parts of the day as much as humanly possible (it helps that I'm not an "outdoor" girl), and drink tons of water. I also wear SPF30 sunscreen when I'm going to be out in the sun for more than 20 minutes. My favorite tool is one of those water misting bottles with the little battery powered fans on top. I got it at Universal last year, and that thing is a godsend. Cools me right off with a few spritzes and the fan going. I know that all the AAPs are at risk for NMS.
