hypercat
Hi, I have read about Neurontin and Lyrica on crazymeds.us and other websites, from what I've read I think it could help me greatly for restlesness. At least I'd like to give it a try. I asked my pdoc about it a few months ago, but he said he wouldn't prescribe it, because the side effects included depression and anxiety. It is an uncommon med here in the Netherlands, used only for epilepsy and neuropathic pain I believe. How can I convince him to let me give it a try? He agrees that my restlesness symptoms are serious and we've tried Ritalin but it didn't work well. Haldol works quite a bit, but I feel it could be much better. My symptoms also include anxiety and nervousness. A bit 'neurotic'. I also wanted to try Dilantin (phenytoin) because I came upon this website: www.remarkablemedicine.com. It seems Dilantin has great promises according to that website... Can anyone help me giving some arguments for trying these meds off-label? Maybe someone has some positive research information (e.g. gabapentin for anxiety) that I could print and hand it to him?
