Loon-A-TiK
Hiya- I've been on Z for a few days now, and I'll tell you, it is kicking the shit out of my cycling and weirdo issues. Anyway, I was wondering, do any of you know how long it takes to get up to its peak effectiveness? I know the SSRIs take awhile to get to where you will feel your best on a certain dose. I just was wondering if Z is the same, or if it is the strongest now that it is going to be. Because man, I feel great. Loon
pinkybee
I took Zyprexa for a while a coupla years ago & found it was doing it's job after 3-4 days. Good luck with it, I'm glad it's helping!
Velvet Elvis
It takes around a week to reach a steady state.

blackbird
Count me in on the 'Zyprexa kicks ass' bandwagon. I just started on a baby dose about 10 days ago and I have never had an anti-psychotic work this well! I feel better than I have in years - only minimal intrusive thoughts and paranoia, incidence of thought broadcasting has declined and best of all, the creepy p-doc fixation has been reduced by around 80% which has proved to me that it was a pathological thing and not that I'm a sick freak! Loon-A-TiK
my dose is 15 right now, and in a couple of days we're going to 20. like you blackbird, it has proven to me that i'm not a weirdo freak- no more radios playing in my head, no more talk shows in my head, no more seeing things that aren't there. andmy mood- i'm so stable! people today have noticed i'm a bit down, but it is just regular stress, not a depression or something. but everyone is used to my moods so they assume the worst. it is hard to talk to people about how i'm feeling "normal" and having normal mood fluxes that are not a part of my disorder.
