Sensation Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 My doc said that he doesnt recommend me taking my 10mg of adderall while I am on effexor cause it can do liver damage and raise my blood pressure. I was on 30mg Adderal XR back when I was taking 150mg Effexor XR and my doc never said liver problems were a issue. I've been taking 300 mg/day of Effexor plus 30-60 mg/day of Adderall for either 2 or 3 years now, and my blood pressure is normal. (This, despite tons of stress...I won't go into all of that...) Maybe you have other issues that are causing him to worry.....I would ask. But it hasn't affected me that way. (Frankly, since uncontrolled depression might kill me sooner than high blood pressure, I'd probably take it even if it did raise my BP, but that's a different thought entirely.) Good luck.
