ZacharyOdette
I know we shouldn't drink alcohol on any of these meds, but can there be some terrible reaction between revia and alcohol?
HaloGirl66
Isn't Revia prescribed to treat alcohol or narcotic dependence? Looking online it sounds like it would be a bad idea to take it with alcohol. You should check with your doc before taking your meds with alcohol. Velvet Elvis
It depends on why you're taking it. Drinking and doing drugs while mentally unstable can be a lot riskier than just drinking and on meds. Ie, even if were fine for a for a person who didn't need to be on the stuff to drink on it, it might not be for you. Common sense says they wouldn't give it to alcoholics if it was fatal when mixed with booze.
bxt227us
as stated, it block opiate receptors. It blocks the rewarding effects of opiates, alcohol, and (they don't tell you) but also nicotine, caffiene, and sugar. Why are you on it? My opinion, go ahead and have a drink or two, alcohol won't "work" and you'll stop drinking. Don't take it if you're curriantly opiate tolerant, it's dangerous.
