lachesis
Thought it would be harmless to attend an event hosted by Food not Bombs. It is a peace group that distributes cooked meals from leftovers from the food industry to feed anyone and everyone who wants. I just read a San Francisco paper saying that the FBI considers it to be a Terrorist group. What a joke. So a few could be extreme anarchists, but labeling the group of peace activists that are from all over North America and Europeans is ridiculous. Strange goverment. It's a nice name for a terrorist group. Some friends of mine were into that.
sepia
A terrorist group. Those people who typically dress punk and serve food in the square by my old apartment are a terrorist group. Riiiight.... Continually expanding the definitions of terms to encompass things they didn't eventually renders the term meaningless.
AirMarshall
I found this story at Info Shop News http://www.infoshop.org/inews/article.php?...fnb_fbii_spying It references a college class that an FBI agent taught on terrorism. It specifically quotes him as saying that Bombs Not Food IS NOT a terrorist organization. Rather, he was making the point that terrorists might use anarchist organizations for as cover for their own purposes. An FBI counterterrorism official showed the class, at the University of Texas in Austin, 35 slides listing militia, neo-Nazi and Islamist groups. Senior Special Agent Charles Rasner said one slide, labeled "Anarchism," was a federal analyst's list of groups that people intent on terrorism might associate with. The list included Food Not Bombs, which mainly serves vegetarian food to homeless people, and
lachesis
Today is World Food Day according to United Nations. I donated some food to the food bank today. I encourage everyone else to do the same during Harvest season.
Velvet Elvis
Not that capitalism has done us any better. Nobody ever killed anyone for money before. Not that I'm an anarchist. I'm sympathetic though. If you're going to talk shit about anarchism, know somthing about it. (aimed at the FBI and black clad 7th graders with anarchy signs on their trapper keepers, not AM) (unless AM has an anarchy sign on his trapper keeper)
