Breeze
Well, if you already did it and you don't feel weird, then you're fine. I think you can drop that easily as my husband dropped from 500 to 400 mgs a day with no problem and we weren't told of any potential problems. He did just fine. Hope you have an alternative for anxiety. Breeze
AirMarshall
25 - 50mg is the very bottom end of dosing. As mentioned, dosing for sz and other is 10 times higher. You can't get to a lower dose, so that would be the getting off point, I guess. I don't have any knowledge of problems discontinuing AAP's. a.m.
MiaB
At that dose I very much doubt you'll have any probs. I did some stupid messing around with my meds recently and tried to drop my Seroquel dose from 800mg to 200mg in one go. Not clever, and my anxiety and edginess went through the roof. But I don't think you need worry - as Breeze said, if you've already done it and you don't feel odd, then you'll be okay. You would have felt any negative effects already if you were going to. Cetkat
I was prescribed 50-100 prn just for sleeping a few years ago, so I don't think there would be any discontinuation problems.
Dee
The last time I was on Seroquel, at only 75 mg, my pdoc had me quit cold turkey. I had no withdrawl symptoms. I just hated that I could no longer sleep.
