Assuming you took the basic Mucinex, the active ingredient is Guaifenesin (sounds like bat guano, doesn't it?) which has a half life of 1 hour. That means that it should be pretty much out of your system by 5 - 6 hours.

The another Mucinex form have Dextromethorphan as an added ingredient, and I'm unable to find a half life for it. The third has pseudoephedrine, which I do not believe would cause any odor.

I'm unable to account for your description. I've always thought that the body has a particular odor during severe colds, and differents colds have different 'tastes' to me. The body is having to break down and eliminate the massive amounts of viruses, as well as digesting the mucus that you swallow. So it is not unreasonable that there could be changes to the odor of urine.

Hope you feel better,

a.m.
