i'm in a bp depression right now, and i was upped from 400mg to 500mg. there is a lot of latitude with lamictal. an increase could be a good thing. talk to your pdoc about it. i have birth control to complicate it, because it halves the amount of lamictal you effectively take, so my 400 was really a 200. i'm happy he's increasing me! it's about time! so now, my effective dose is 250. i want to up it to 300. we shall see who wins this one! ;)

You got the pickiest med out there, so it's anyone's guess. Most people report antidepressant effects at anywhere from 25mg up. The 'accepted' therapeutic dose is supposed to be 200mg, so an increase may help. Every time I increased the dose, I went nutso for a day or two, so be warned.
